Labor Day signals beginning of 2010 Campaign Organizing
The LPIN Asks You to Run, and spend 2010 stumping for Liberty!

The LPIN is asking if you'd like to make an impact in 2010? Will you stand up against an out of control government run by two parties that have left fiscal sanity and personal freedom long ago? Will you be the only voice of the forgotten man in 2010? Will you be the only conscience of good government in the local debates, town halls, neighborhood association meetings, and in newspapers?

If not You, then Who? Republican and Democratic candidates have shown only empty promises at election time.

In 2010, there will be 100 State House Seats, 25 State Senate Seats, 9 Federal House Seats, 1 Federal Senate Seat, and the Secretary of State's race (which will ensure Libertarian Ballot Access for 4 years.)

In 2008, only 2 State House races were really contested between a Republican and Democrat. In the other 98 races, the incumbent or party-selected candidate did not face serious opposition from the other major party due to Gerrymandering. In many races, a Libertarian was the only choice opposite of a Republican or Democrat.

We must fill every one of these races, and we need teams around each candidate to support them. The Libertarian Party will see record numbers of votes in 2010, and we need your help to ensure this happens!

In early October, we will have a Saturday training session for candidates and campaign managers. To run for office, or to attend this session, please fill out the form found here: http://lpin.org/run-for-office

If you cannot run, Please forward on this message to a Libertarian that SHOULD run for office. Ask them to run, and tell them that we need their leadership in the General Assembly, and in Washington! Encouragement is the best way to start a campaign.
Ron Cenkush holds party to announce Campaign Kickoff
Northern Indiana Libertarian Seeks Nomination for IN State House District 5
A northern Indiana Libertarian will hold a party to an announce an exploratory committee to run for the State House of Indiana. Ron Cenkush of South Bend is announcing that he will seek the Libertarian nomination to run against incumbent Democrat Craig Fry.

"What Ron has accomplished in his campaign efforts thus far are amazing," said Ryan Liedtky, the Second District Rep to the LPIN Central Committee. "To have an entire campaign team in place, paper work filed, and to be out door to door campaigning with extremely positive results this far in advance of an election is wonderful exposure for the Libertarian Party of Indiana. Ron is seeking the nomination to be the 2010 Libertarian candidate on the State House District 5 ballot with a single message: "We CAN win!"

Cenkush is married to Mary, served five years in the Navy, and has, since 2002, run his own information technology business (Teksource). Cenkush coached Little League baseball for 11 years, where he also served on the board of directors. He is a 1983 graduate of LaSalle High School in South Bend, IN.

That all people possess certain unalienable natural rights, and that among these are rights to life, liberty, justly acquired property, and self-governance. That the only moral basis of government is the preservation and protection of unalienable natural rights. That no person or institution, public or private, has the right to initiate the use of physical force or fraud against another person, and that all people are bound, without contract, to abstain from infringing upon the natural rights of other people. That all people are entitled to choose their own lifestyles, as long as they do not forcibly impose their values on others. That the voluntary and unrestricted exchange of goods and services is fundamental to a peaceful and harmonious society.
