Tasting Methodology 102
Learn to taste using all your
senses.
This is a popular beginners
class in a non-intimidating format. This class builds on teachings from Tasting
Methodology 101. It's a great introduction to discovering your palate while
expanding your wine vocabulary led by a certified sommelier. No previous class
is required.
Cost: $20 Club discounts apply, reservation and
payment confirmation required.

Wine News
Our
fresh shipment of caviar has arrived, we made sure to have a good supply for
those of you looking forward to an elegant Valentine's Day evening.
Also
making a spectacular return for Valentine's Day are the juiciest and most
delicious chocolate covered strawberries in town. Chef Passanisi from EAT is making premium long stemmed strawberries
dipped in dark chocolate and topped with shaved white chocolate and coco nibs. Less
than 6 for $3.50 each, or six $3.25 each, or a dozen or more for $2.99 each. A sweet smile from your sweetie is guaranteed
at no charge. They will be available for
pick-up Friday 2/12, Saturday 2/13, Sunday 2/14. Pre-orders must be in by
Tuesday 2/9.

Liane's Corkey Trivia
In ancient societies, it was the job of the King to serve as an
advocate for their subjects (ie. the regular humans) with the gods who
controlled the forces of nature. Essentially, it was the King's job to
ensure that crops were bountiful and also to manage the generated
wealth for the benefit of that society. In those ancient farming
societies, the powers of the sun, the moon, and the celestial
constellations were recognized as vital to the production of a good
harvest. (This celestial concept comes down through the ages to us in
modern Biodynamic farming techniques still in use today in, among other
things, the production of wine.)
