Spotlight on: National Volunteer Week
April 19-25 marks National Volunteer Week
National Volunteer Week recognizes and
promotes volunteerism and honors those who
dedicate themselves to taking action and
solving problems in their communities.
CrisisLink relies on more than 170
volunteers working every day to staff our
24/7 hotlines and support our fundraising and
outreach efforts in the region.
Volunteers are as vital to CrisisLink today
as they were in 1969. After 40
years, volunteers continue to be at the heart
of CrisisLink and are the reason we are able
to provide top notch crisis and
suicide prevention, intervention, and
postvention services today.
This year, LinkUp
& Listen, CrisisLink's 40th
anniversary celebration, is being held during
National Volunteer Week, and CrisisLink will
honor all of our former and current
volunteers for their commitment to saving lives,
preventing tragedies, and empowering people
to help themselves for the past 40 years.
