So far, the Summer of 2012 has been FUNTASTIC! Bill and I were thrilled to be recognized at the Schell Brothers Annual REALTOR Luau. Why have so many of our clients chosen a home built by Schell Brothers? Their smiles are as big as ours and isn't that what it's all about?

This month we are starting a new column to introduce you to some of our clients that have relocated to Coastal Delaware. Someone I am now working with who is getting ready to retire asked me "What do people do when they retire, especially in the off-season?" Rather than write a long article about what I think, I decided to ask recent retirees, clients of ours that have made a new life for themselves in retirement here in Coastal Delaware. I think you'll enjoy meeting them.

Look for the September issue of Where to Retire Magazine with a feature on Lewes/Rehoboth Beach and all of Coastal Delaware. They asked us a lot about Delaware taxes and the things that make living here so attractive.

Happy 4th of July! Since it falls on a Wednesday, we expect a double holiday weekend here at the Beach in Delaware! Enjoy.

I first met Jean in 2008 when she and her husband Mike were preparing to retire and relocate to Coastal Delaware. We found them a wonderful home in Milton, Delaware and how the time has flown since then.

Now Jean is a member of the

Delaware By Hand. Jean exhibits her work regularly. Her painting of the Blue Ridge Mountains was on exhibit at the Biggs Museum of American Art.

Where to Retire Magazine?

This past month I got a call from Where to Retire Magazine. They are doing a Feature Article on the Lewes/Rehoboth area for the September/October issue and they asked lots of questions - the same questions you might ask. They talked with recent retirees that are now living in one of our Active Adult communities. Look for the article and tell your friends!

Top Ten July 4th Weekend Favorites

Summer is just flying by, as it always does. For those of you looking ahead to the big July 4th Holiday and wondering what there is to do in Coastal Delaware, here is our Top Ten. Enjoy and let us know what you did and what we missed for future articles! With July 4th on a Wednesday this year, many of you will have a 10 day July 4th weekend this year, so here are more favorites to add to your calendar:

Rehoboth Beach - Fireworks on the beach followed by local favorites the Funsters in the Rehoboth Beach Bandstand!
Old Fashioned 4th of July games on Second Street in Lewes, followed by the Decorated Boat Parade and the infamous Doo Dah Parade around 5ish!

Why Refinance Back into a 30-Year Loan?
