Yes You Can! Hire Right People for Your Team
 The beginning of the year is a time to reflect on your employees and if they are the right fit for your team. Perhaps you'll even be doing some hiring in anticipation of the busy season. According to studies, hiring the wrong employee can cost as much as three times their annual salary, so it is important to get it right. One key to hiring the right staff is to look for "can" thinkers versus "can't" thinkers, according to George Green of QSR magazine. In this article, Green suggests that it is important to not only hire new employees with a "can" attitude, but also to instill that attitude in your current staff.
Here are some ideas for hiring "can" thinkers and motivating your team:
- Ask problem solving questions in interviews
- Even in a challenging economy, set goals and hold your team accountable to meet them
- Communicate your standards for employees often with bulletin boards, newsletters, etc
- Reward your top employees - even with something small, it will motivate other team members

 Progressive Gourmet's blog, The Banquet Bulletin, is a weekly look at issues in the foodservice industry, along with product presentation ideas and more.
The retail store Anthropologie is know for it's relaxed, homespun, down to earth fashions and home accessories, and this vibe has started inspiring brides across the country as they set out to plan their weddings. The brand announced earlier this year that it was going to be launching a wedding line, which will only serve to influence more eclectic and rustic weddings.
