By embracing a grassroots campaign strategy that relies heavily on aggressive online outreach, including a significant social media component, Mr. DeVore has raised nearly $2,000,000 in campaign contributions and has become a viable candidate.  Not only has he raised his profile and name recognition throughout California, but has gained a national profile as a result of many appearances on Fox News and coverage in the Wall Street Journal. 
 
Will Assemblyman DeVore become California's "Scott Brown" in the approaching June primary?  It's hard to say at this point; he is still running behind in the polls, but it's not over 'til it's over and Mr. DeVore continues to execute full-speed ahead on the strategy that has brought him this far.  He is the conservative's conservative in the very left leaning state of California and most would have bet against the success that he's had to date.
