The pictures above are my grandmother and aunt who battled breast cancer. They lost the battle but their spirits were bigger than cancer could ever be. They were the most glamorous ladies in the world and their beauty went beyond their outer shell.
This newsletter is dedicated to Moma, Aunt Nona and Denise DeBose' (a friend, who I did not have a picture of). Let's Go To Work!
Weddings In The Pink
October 2009
Think Pink
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and Let's Get Married! has found that your wedding can help aid in awareness, prevention, support, and more. Read below for some ideas that will help you feel good and do good at the same time.
For those who may not know Anniemae's Cheesecakes & Moore is named after her Grandmother who lost her battle with breast cancer, during breast cancer awareness month and 3 days before Danielle's birthday in October 2004. Not only did it claim the life of her grandmother but also her great-grandmother in 2001. Since then Danielle has become an advocate for breast cancer awareness. To do her part she found a great organization, Cancer Cares which offered her grief counseling in dealing with their deaths and to get a full understanding about breast cancer.
On September 25th, which is Danille's Mom's Birthday (who passed in 2006) She launched her Sho Fly Cares Collection. Pink Ribbon Ballerina Slippers with the Pink Ribbon emblem, is placed on one of our large Cupcakes and presented in a pink box. Proceeds from the sale of each cupcake will go to Cancercare.Org.
Your support an organization that helps those still battling breast cancer.
