After what seems like an eternity, we have received the full line of Mad Millie Cheese making Supplies for the home hobbyist!

This line is well thought out, with starter kits available to make the more popular cheeses, and a variety of ingredients and equipment available to go on your own.

And of course we have Cheese making classes that we are offering.   Our first class will be January 29th, and our Cheese making instructor Lois will show you how to make Feta, Mozzarella and Ricotta in this 4 hour class.

All of this is just in time for great Christmas gifts.

 Mad Millie Cheese Making!

Cheese making with Mad Millie is easy! 

Mad Millie has a full line of Cheese making supplies, and for the beginner, 6 different cheese making kits that help you get going right away.   Please be aware that these kits do not include milk.  You will have to obtain your own milk to make these cheese kits.
Italian Cheese kit
There are 2 kits that are classified as "Beginners".

The first is the "Beginners Italian Cheese kit", that sells for $29.99.  This kit allows you to make Mozzarella, Ricotta, Ricotta Salata and Mascarpone.   It takes approximately 1 hour to make each recipe, and the kit makes approximately 15 batches of cheese!

Fresh CheeseThe second "beginners" cheese making kit is the Fresh Cheese Ingredient Kit that makes Feta, Halloumi, Cream Cheese and Cottage Cheese, and sells for $44.99.  These recipes take from 30 minutes to 24 hours to make.  This kit will make up to 30 lbs of cheese!

You should also have the Basic Cheese Making Equipment kit (below) to make these cheeses.

The Basic Cheese Making Equipment Kit is designed specifically to work with the Mad Millie range of cheese making kits, and sells for $79.99.

It includes an insulated cheese incubator, 2 gallon Cheese vat, Maturing box and Cheese mat, Feta mold and Brining container, glass Thermometer, Pipette and Beaker for accurately measuring liquid ingredients.

Many cheese making recipes require you to hold your milk/cheese mixture at higher temperatures for extended time periods, thus the need for the incubator.

                                                                                                                     The Probiotic Yoghurt Kit is used to make your own tasty Probiotic Yoghuyoghurtrt, Soy Yoghurt and Yoghurt cream cheese, and sells for $17.99.  This kit includes everything you need to make yoghurt, you do not need the Basic Cheese Making Equipment kit for this.

This kit will make up to 10 quarts of yoghurt!

The Camembert Ingredient kit is an "Intermediate" difCamembertficulty level kit.  Camembert is a soft cheese similar to Brie.   This kit makes up to 20 batches of cheese, about 1/2 lb of cheese per batch, and sells for $54.99.

This cheese needs to be aged about 4 weeks prior to eating!

You should have the Basic Cheese Making Equipment kit to make Camembert.

The advanced difficulty kits are a Blue Cheese Ingredient Kit ($54.99) and a Hard Cheese Ingredient kit ($59.99).  You will need the Basic Cheese Making Equipment kit for both of these kits.   Click here to order these kits.

Cheese Making Classes

We are offering beginning cheese making classes, with our first class scheduled for Saturday, January 29th, from 12:00 (noon) to 4:00 pm.

In this 4 hour class Lois will be demonstrating how to make Feta, Mozzarella and Ricotta.   Class size is limited to 12 cheese lovers, and is $40 for the 4 hour class.

artisan cheese
Making Artisan Cheese by Tim Smith ($21.99) has 50 recipes for making cheese with somewhat glossy pages so that you don't ruin the book by dripping liquids on it while making cheese.
