15% Off Select Wine Equipment

Harvest 2010 is almost here, and it is time for our Fall New Wine Equipment Sale.

This year we are offering 15% off of most of our in-stock presses and crushers.

Stemmer/Crusher on Trestle

We have 2 sizes of ratchet presses, and 2 sizes of bladder presses available.

We have a grape crusher used primarily for white wines, and then the Stemmer/Crusher (pictured) that crushes the grapes and then removes the stems, in preparation of fermenting on the skins.

And don't forget apples & pears!

We have both manual crank apple/pear crushers, and a big ole' electric crusher that will tackle a small orchard!

This bad boy has a 1.5 horsepower moter that runs at 1700 RPM, and will make short order of pails of apples.

Come on down and check them out.

We also rent most of this equipment from now till about November 15th.  Rentals are for 24 hours, since demand is high on the weekends surrounding harvest.

After wine season is over we also sell our used equipment at a nice discount.

New Wine Making products

Bader LogoThe new Vintners Harvest line of wine yeasts are out, after a grueling test of over 3000 fermentations from their lab in Liverpool.   Out of these tests, 9 yeast varieties were chosen for their superior fermentation characteristics.

Also new is a variety of oak cubes.   We have found these oak cubes to be superior in adding oak flavor and complexity to your wines without the expense and hassle of using oak barrels.

These oak cubes come in 9 different types or "flavor profiles".   We have American, French andoak cube Hungarian oak cubes, each in 3 degrees of toasting - Medium, House and Heavy.   The House is toasted between the Medium and heavy.  Typically you would use between 1 and 3 ounces for each 6 gallons of wine, and let them age for about 4 to 8 weeks, tasting as time goes on.
