Greetings!
Good day UFP subscribers: CONFESSIONS OF A DALLAS COWBOYS FAN Why The Giants Will Beat The New England Patriots BY Shelby Jones I am a bona-fide football and Dallas Cowboys fan for life. I am not a Troy Aikman come lately fan either. I loved the Cowboys since the days of Staubach, Randy White, Billy Joe Dupree, Robert Newhouse, Harvey Martin, and the game breaker, Drew Pearson. The motley crew wearing the star today simply can't do everything well at the right moment. Embarrassing. One playoff win in years. That is unacceptable. But today is not about them, today is about their NFC East rival, THE NEW YORK FOOTBALL GIANTS. Basic football. Nothing special. They simply go out there and win games. Here are ten reasons why winning this Super Bowl will be one of the easiest they have ever won. TEN REASONS WHY THE GIANTS WILL WIN The first five reasons are based on people. The five men listed below should cause various problems for the Patriots and Tom Brady. With TE "the Gronk" probably diminished in his capacity because of injury, Brady will rely on Wes Welker from 5 to 15 yards, Woodhead out of the backfield for 5-15 yards, and Branch, Hernandez, and Ocho to stretch the field. Problem is, Ocho can't get past DBs anymore, Branch is not a breakaway threat, and Brady will need time to make all of these passes if they are open. Jason, Justin, Chris, Osi, and Mathias will make Brady's day at work much too difficult to be effective. Even if they don't sack him, the relentless four quarters of pressure will be insurmountable. 1. Jason Pierre Paul 6-5, 278lb DE 2. Justin Tuck 6-5, 268lb DE 3. Chris Canty 6-7, 317lb DT (Silly Dallas let him go) 4. Osi Umenyiora 6-3, 255lb DE 5. Mathias Kiwanuka 6-5, 267lb LB 6. The Patriots defense is not good enough to stop Eli. Eli has been on fire the second half of the season and utterly amazing in the 4th quarter. He shredded my Cowboys with ease. Eli simply has to remember he "does not" have to win this game with heroics like the last Super Bowl; rather be a game manager and throw the football with purpose. It's the Super Bowl Eli, there is no we will get em' next time. The game is today. Eli's moment is today. 7. Big brother, little brother. Eli also has the greatest motivation of any player on the field today. What else can drive a young boy than the chance to do better than his big brother who is considered a god in the same sport you play? Archie is thinking, "hmmm, will he do it?" Peyton is thinking, "that little punk" is gonna win a Super Bowl in the house I built? Eli is poised and thinking, "hell yeah I am." We have seen this before. Remember, Serena Williams is the younger sibling. 8. Victor Cruz. The other Giants WR are great but Victor Cruz has been a game changer all season. He will be a problem for the Pats even when the ball is not thrown his way. 9. Bill Belichick's karma is simply horrible. Dismissing Tiquan Underwood the day before the Super Bowl was simply in bad taste. First there was CHEAT-GATE and now he has CLASSLESS-GATE. 10. Defensive backfield. The Giant's DBs will be a problem for Brady and his receivers. The Giant's DBs tend not to go for big plays. What they do well is cover. That is all they need.
