One Great Hour

of Sharing

is an offering that makes the love of Christ real for individuals and communities around the world who suffer the effects of disaster, conflict, or severe economic hardship, and for those who serve them through gifts of money and time. Today, projects are underway in more than 100 countries, including the United States and Canada. One Great Hour of Sharing funds make disaster   relief, refugee assistance, and development aid possible.

 One Great Hour of Sharing

Collection Day is Easter Sunday, April 8th.
Other News...
The FBS Blood Drive

is Sunday, April 22. There is currently a shortage of O Negative Donor Trauma Blood so please consider donating blood in April. All donors will also receive a wellness checkup of blood pressure, pulse, temperature and iron count, plus a cholesterol screening as a health benefit. You can sign up to donate online at Florida Blood Services or on the sign up sheet on the bulletin board in the west narthex.

Did You Know???
The floral arrangements each Sunday (unless the donor requests otherwise) are delivered to shut-ins, members or friends of the church who are hospitalized, or loved ones who are suffering from an illness or loss. If you know someone whose spirits would be lifted by receiving a floral arrangement, contact the church office with their information.

There are still Sundays available if you would like to place flowers in the sanctuary in honor, memory, or in celebrations of a friend, family member or an event. The cost is $25.

Congratulations
to Tom & Linda Loomer, who were married on March 17th at Stone Lake Ranch.

Free Twin Adjustamatic Bed

If you could use a twin adjustamatic bed, please contact Laura Ross at 334-4653. The bed is owned by another member of our church and has asked her to find a home for it. You have to pick it up, but the bed is free.

Greetings!

Severe Storms Attack the

Midwest and Southeast

February 28 to March 3 there was a powerful and deadly storm system that moved through the Midwest down to the southern part of the country. The system spawned many tornadoes that caused the destruction of hundreds of homes, injuries, and more than 40 deaths.

The Presbyterian Disaster Assistance (PDA) is actively following reports of the tornado damage. Funds from One Great Hour of Sharing are being dispersed to several mid-councils and the PDA is waiting for more requests for assistance as damages are assessed.

If you would like to help, you can make financial gifts to the PDA     General Account - DR000148 or One Great Hour of Sharing.

Our best response is prayer. Please pray for those in the storm-stricken communities including congregations, families, and those seeking to   salvage what little the storms left behind. Also pray, for strength for those offering assistance, and for those who will participate in the recovery efforts in the upcoming days and months.
