Over the past several weeks, your Stewardship Ministry Team has shown you how your investments have paid dividends here at FPCB. We should be proud that we have built schools, fed the hungry, cared for the poor and sick, comforted the forlorn, educated the children, ministered to the faithful, and more.

 

In this letter, I would like to go over a few administrative items. First, if you have not turned in your 2012 pledge card, please do so as quickly as possible. Your session is diligently working to put together our 2012 ministry budget. Secondly as you can see below, we've yet to receive about 15% of our 2011 pledged offerings (as of November 30th). However, as faithful financial stewards, our income has exceeded our expenses by just over $4,000 so far this year.

 

Thank you for all you do in the life of our church. I can't wait to see how our church family will demonstrate the love of Christ to our community and beyond in 2012!

 

I'd like to close with the verses from Colossians (2: 6-7) that were the theme of the Stewardship season this year:

 

My counsel for you is simple and straightforward: Just go ahead with what you've been given. You received Christ Jesus, the Master; now live him. You're deeply rooted in him. You're well constructed upon him. You know your way around the faith. Now do what you've been taught. School's out; quit studying the subject and start living it! And let your living spill over into thanksgiving.
