East meets West
Kravet, an industry leader in home furnishings since 1918, recently release an Asian inspired collection, Indochine by Barbara Barry. The collection consists of fabrics, carpet, drapery, hardware, wall coverings, and more with elements of Asia incorporated in the design.
The color palette for this collections consists of: lotus and silver; lacquer and blanc de chine; gold and fig. Textures range from light and airy linens to intense and intricate embroideries. Locations such as the Forbidden City were strong influences when it came to selecting colors and intricate details.

Emphasis on Education
Vanguard Furniture is more than home furnishings. The company places utmost importance on education and with this guiding principle, they recently launched a scholarship program for children of Vanguard employees. The goal is to promote the importance of education while offering a benefit to employees.
The scholarship program is open to current college-aged students and recipients have an opportunity to be selected for the $1000 or $500 scholarships. The selection process consists of grades, community involvement, special honors, and an introductory essay. |

The DRC Rewards programs consists of giving clients $1.00 in rewards from DRC for every $100.00 spent quarterly, with a minimum purchase of $5,000 in each quarter, designers will receive a gift card in the amount of their rewards dollars, which they can spend at the merchant of their choice.
