Nutrition Nooks - A Friendly Reminder
Just a reminder that nutrition nooks are shared areas! Please leave things neat and tidy for your neighbours!
This means quickly wiping down counters, not leaving dishes in the sink, and if you have catering brought in, making sure you put away leftover food and have the catering dishes picked up ASAP so science experiments don't begin to sprout!

Staff Lockers for Rent in ECHA
Are you the Peter Parker to Spiderman? Diana Prince to Wonder Woman? If you're needing a place to change and store your attire before or after work, and you find the phone booth option lacking privacy, check out the lockers available to staff in ECHA
The facilities do not have showers, however sinks and vanities are available to freshen up after you've hit the road and are ready to transform to your professional alter-ego!
Locker rentals are from 1 May - 30 April of each year and are $40 a year, which includes a refundable $10 deposit. Please email ECHA.Admin@ualberta.ca for more details!

In Case of Emergency
Do you know where the Muster Point is if there's ever an emergency in ECHA and the building is evacuated? No need to worry! Once you exit the building, look for these signs!

The Muster Point for ECHA are located on the North end of the building. Not sure which way North is? No problem! Just check out this handy Muster Point map!
Do take note that the Muster Point map indicates that we have 2 Muster Points. Until construction of the pedway is complete, the South Muster Point cannot be used. So if you are located at the South end of the building, feel free to take the South exit, but note that you will have to walk around the outside of the building to reach the North Muster Point. |

Research Around Campus
BureaucraZy
The Community-University Partnershipfor the Study of Children, Youth, and Families (CUP) and Families First Edmonton (FFE) have developed an important documentary film to better understand the personal perspectives of Albertans who experience obstacles accessing health and social services in Alberta.
BureaucraZy is a documentary film that profiles four single mothers with low income who volunteered to share their experiences in accessing health and social services in Alberta. This is a great teaching resource available to instructors online!
To learn more about BureaucraZy, please see the information here. |
