Survey Says!!
Thanks to everyone who participated in our recent survey.
The survey indicates that 63% read most or all of the content and the same number found the information useful most or all of the time. The majority of readers indicated that topics of most interest to them include administrative information for occupants of the building (53%), building systems information (38%), events occurring in ECHA (29%), as well as feature articles on topics of special interest to occupants (21%).
What does this survey tell us? We're doing a good job, but there's room for improvement! Thank you everyone who offered to provide content. We would love to hear from more of you!
Some quotes from your responses to open-ended questions:
"Much of it is useful, but all of it is interesting."
"Remind me why we need this??"
"I appreciate that the newsletter is concise. Please keep it short and sweet!"
"Keep the information coming!"
"The newsletter is colourful and informative. It is great to be kept in the loop over events etc."
"I enjoy the fact that I feel connected to others in the building"

Health tips from the Pulse Generator
Staying hydrated is an important part of maintaining general health; but what are the latest standards when it comes to hydration? Here's what you need to know.
The latest research shows that we should be meeting about 20% of our water needs through food. Men still need an additional 2.75 litres (11 3/4c) and women an additional 2.1litres (8 2/3c) to have our water needs met. Sounds like a lot!
You can however, include beverages other than water when tracking your fluid intake. Remember that if you drink more than 1litre of coffee a day (a large coffee - at 16oz is almost half a litre) the dehydrating effect of the caffeine will negate the fluid intake . Keep in mind that not all beverages are created equal, when it comes to daily fluid intake, plain water is still the best!
If you are very active, have a high sweat rate, or are in a hot humid environment your fluid needs may be different; you may need a sport drink or electrolyte supplement. When it comes to performance, experiment with various approaches during training to see what works for you. Try different sports drinks or electrolyte supplements, and hydrate at different times during your workout to figure out what works best for you.
