Welcome to a New Year!
It's January, and that means it's time for the official opening of the Edmonton Clinic Health Academy!
On January 18th, dignitaries from the University, the Government of Alberta, the community and beyond will gather to mark the official opening of the Edmonton Clinic Health Academy. While the formal ceremony is by invitation only, the event will be live webcast to screens throughout the building and online. A weblink will be posted on the ECHA website, our Facebook page  and will be sent via a special Opening Day newsletter.

For the 18th only, some chairs and café tables will be moved into the North Atrium. We apologize for any inconvenience this causes; our Grand Opening is a one-time only event!

In the morning, from 10:00 to 12:30 Main Street on levels 1 and 2 will host an exhibition with information about the faculties, departments and schools working in ECHA. The public will be invited to walk through the two floors and learn more about ECHA. And, our student associations will be hosting an open house in the student commons area!  If you would like to take part in the Main Street exhibition, and haven't signed up yet, please send an email to
echa.info@ualberta.ca before January 12th.

Please note that floors L1, 3,4 and 5 will not be included in this tour.

Look for an insert in the Edmonton Journal during the week of January 16th; this beautiful commemorative piece, explores the ECHA vision for the future of health care!

In the evening, our very special guest Dr. Brian Goldman will speak on
Why the future belongs to ECHA.

Please note that there will be large number of visitors in the building on the 18th. Please be extra vigilant! Even though there is an open house, people should not be wandering around floors 3,4 and 5.

We are very excited to announce our next speaker!
