Meet your ECHA Administration team

Trish Whelan, Ass. Director, Administration, Health Sciences Council

Tamara Mitchell Schultz, ECHA Administrator

Eva Pang, ECHA Administrative and Communications Coordinator

Vacant, Administrative Assistant

Your ECHA Administrative Team leads on the planning and implementation of shared approaches, policies and practices that promote the vision of Edmonton Clinic Health Academy. They do this in partnership with occupant groups and other stakeholders including Facilities and Operations, AICT, the Office of the Registrar, the Project Management Office and many other groups. The team brokers relationships and negotiates goods and services for all occupant groups.

The ECHA administration team works closely with occupant groups including their APO's.  Over the last year and a half, the APO group has met regularly, charged with making decisions regarding the operation and administration of this building.  From classroom and meeting room scheduling, to security, multifunctional devices, locker allocations, and coffee and tea.

This group will continue to meet and make decisions as the ECHA APO Operations (House) Committee.

Cell phone update

The ECHA administration team is aware of the urgency of this issue. Telus and Bell cell service is available throughout much of ECHA. The University of Alberta is working closely with all service providers to ensure cell phone service is available to all ECHA occupants. We have been advised that a temporary solution is being tested and service may be available by mid-November. ECHA occupants will be updated via the web site, newsletter and Facebook page as updates are available. Please be assured that this issue is being given the utmost attention by Rogers and the Project Management Office.

You and your nutrition nook

Each occupant group in ECHA has at least one nutrition nook. These nooks are equipped with a fridge and microwave, a sink and storage spaces. They are also supplied with coffee, tea, hot chocolate, creamers, sugar and sweeteners! Dish detergent, hand soap and paper towels will also be provided. Your group has designated a point person to keep an eye on and refresh supplies. Your ECHA APO can identify your contact.

Fridges are for short-term food storage only and will be emptied on a regular basis. Please do not bring in a week's supply of groceries :) Cleaning staff will clean fridges and microwaves weekly. Please be courteous and wipe up spills as they happen.

Leave all shared spaces the way you'd like to find them! Clean and tidy!

Are you done with that?

"Extra" catering can be a welcome treat! But please make sure it's left over before you dig in. Common sense applies. If it's untouched and unopened - chances are good it's not 'leftover'. When in doubt - ask! If you are sharing, please place a note nearby so others know. And remember - even if you leave catering for others to enjoy, you're responsible for cleaning it up at the end of the day. Please do not leave sandwiches or trays with meat, fish, eggs etc on counters; these should be refrigerated!
