Connecting you with tourism in South Africa
Newsletter Title
June 2012

Greetings!

I trust that you and the   team are finding that business is picking up as we head into the second half of the year.

This end we have definitely kicked up a gear. Our tourismZA networking footprint continues to pick up momentum with more tourism companies starting to use our online newsletter and email marketing capabilities AND the fact that, on a daily basis, we are engaging more and more travellers who have opted us into their personal space.

In May we were appointed as the online communication partner in the CapriX expedition. At the end of June I head out to Switzerland to finalise the arrangements to bring two or three tourism buyers from Switzerland and Germany back to South Africa.

Until we chat again, please remember that if ever you need a once off newsletter or want to know how to integrate your contacts with your existing newsletter feel free to give us a shout - we're always happy and willing to assist.

Warm regards and safe travelling

CAPRI XPeter van Kets
Peter van Kets will travel over land and sea without the use of motors; A "totally" green expedition! Besides the epic proportion of this adventure, the expedition's primary objective is to help create global awareness of the effects of climate change. His round the world expedition along the Tropic of Capricorn (CapriX) will proactively highlight the positive steps that communities, organisations, and individuals are taking to fix the problem.

tourismZA's newsletter platform will be used to manage and coordinate online communications and social networking for CapriX. We will be able to introduce adventure enthusiasts and supporters to participating SA tourism companies

Tourism Industry Review: Imvubu Lodge

Imvubu Lodge - a review of contradictions

As it turns out, the lodge is slap bang in the middle of everywhere. Not a hippo to be seen but there's something to be said about watching an oversized crocodile powering its way across the lagoon towards your breakfast table. Imvubu Lodge turned out to be, a must-return-to, home from home that far surpassed the simulated welcome of many of its five star peers.

Swiss & German Buyers to visit SA

On the 3rd of July we fly to Switzerland to finalise arrangements to bring tourism buyers from Switzerland and Germany to South Africa. The idea is to land them in Cape Town, let them catch their breath for a day or so in the Mother City and then fly them directly to East London and into the Wild Coast for about five days. As soon as I get the green light from the Swiss Consulate we will start finalising the itinerary.

The purpose of this initiative is to start putting buyers from around the world directly in touch with participating South African tourism companies. More than that, tourismZA wants to physically create personal relationships between international buyers and network them directly to tourism companies in South Africa.

Monthly Lucky Draw

I've had a few enquiries about the lucky draws and how they work. In a nutshell, a 'lucky draw' email is sent out to everybody who has entered. We try to have a lucky draw every month and, here's the good part, you stay in it 'till you win it or until you opt out.

In so doing we promote tourism related products to all the entrants.

If you'd like to enter the draw make sure that we have your details here

If you'd like to submit a prize for promoting contact us here
