Medicaid Retro Remittance
Here is some important information regarding the Medicaid retro remittance files.
Whenever Medicaid sends multiple remittance files for a cycle, Medicaid assigns each file a sequence number. It is critically important that these files be posted in the same order.
An example of why is based on the reversals and repayment that were just sent. In some cases the reversal is in one file and the repayment is in another. If the payment is processed first and then the reversal, you would end up with a reversed "zero" paid amount on the claim.
