APG Billing APG billing for both OASAS and OMH programs is going live 1/1/2012. Here are some quick tips for the IMA configuration for this.
- Version: Make sure to upgrade to version 19.1 ASAP
- APG effective date: The effective date for APG billing should be set as 1/1/2012 and NOT 10/1/2010. The retroactive rates are not yet in effect. Previous dates of service need to still be billed the old way.
- Payer record: Each Medicaid location needs to be set with its own PAYER record. Previously many location could share a single payer record.
- Payer record: The unlicensed MMIS number to be used in the claim needs to be entered on the medicaid tab
- Fee schedules: Medicaid fee schedules for APG services should be updated with new rates and an effective date of 1/1/2012
- Batch numbers: Please note that APG batch number do not start at 0001. They use the same numbering scheme as the Service based billing batches
- M errors: APG billing has a new set of M errors. We will be adding more of these over the next few weeks.
Version 5010 Billing
- Receiver records: For Medicaid, use "EMEDNYBAT" as Interchange Receiver ID and Functional Group Receiver ID
- Payer records: Make sure to reset from version 4010 to 5010
- Payer records: There is a new way to setup "atypical" providers (Non NPI) in version 5010. On the "Provider" tab, the third id qualifier should be "G2" and the ID should be the agency MMIS number.
