What a difference a month makes! While I was writing about the season-ending fundraisers at the Farmstead for the last newsletter, I was thinking, "No one is in the mood to think about pumpkins!" I think now you might be! Pumpkin Hollow kicked off last week, and once again is a wonderland of fun fall activities for kids.
I spent a large part of Monday there with 16 small kids, and none of them wanted to leave when it closed. If you are planning a trip to a pumpkin patch this year, consider Pumpkin Hollow at Deanna Rose. There are lots of fun things to do, and the trip begins and ends with a horse-drawn wagon ride. Plus, your admission fee includes a pumpkin. So you'll be able to take home a reminder of a fun day at Deanna Rose.
Pumpkin Hollow and Night of the Living Farm are both fundraisers for the Friends of the Farmstead. The monies raised during these events are used to help us continue our mission: to promote and support the Deanna Rose Children's Farmstead.
This is done with the support of our ticket-buyers for these special events, our wonderful "Friends" who purchase memberships throughout the season, and our special events and season sponsors.
Friends of the Farmstead is so grateful for the support of everyone who has been involved in 2011. We plan to keep up the great work in 2012 and beyond, so I hope you consider renewing your support.
There are only a few weeks left in this season, so I hope to see you soon at the Farmstead!
