Hurricane Season: it's not too late to be prepared!
Here are a few quick tips you should think about when creating your business plan:
* Retrieve all important business records and store them in a water tight container in a safe place;
* Expect no cell or telephone communications immediately following a storm;
* Establish essential staff for post-storm recovery and have predetermined locations for employees to meet when conditions permit;
* Prepare a photo or video inventory of assets and store it in a safe location;
* Ensure that your insurance policy payment is up-to-date;
* Maintain detailed expenses for disaster recovery for possible reimbursement from FEMA;
* Have cash on-hand as banking may be unavailable for several days.
The Florida Division of Emergency Management website www.FloridaDisaster.org offers a very useful web-based tool to help business owners and families create customized disaster plans.

Every Roofing company in South Florida says they are THE NUMBER ONE in QUALITY. There is a good idea to verify if they are as good as they said.
Check their Certificate of Liability, this will show you exactly all the " Losses and Records" of that Roofing company for the past years.
By the way, Evans Roofing has a "clear" Loss history within the past 5 years!
What could say it better!

Evans Safety Zone
Ladder safety is one of our biggest concerns as they are a leading cause of job site injuries in the construction industry. Here are some of the safety rules we teach our employees to practice daily:
1. Ladder Selection: Select the correct type of ladder for the project or application to be performed.
2. Ladder Inspection: Inspect the ladder for defects, wear and tear, and inadequate parts.
3. Tie-Off: Tie down the ladder top whenever possible to prevent slipping or twisting when using an extension ladder.
4. Ladder Placement: position ladder in a place where there are the least likely obstructions to occur (pedestrians, cars, vegetation).
5. Transportation: Securely tie down the ladder when transporting it on vehicles use several support points to prevent sag or shifting.
6. Ladder Storage: Keep ladders in good condition. Keep them clean, oil moving parts such as spreader bars, hinges, locks or pulleys...

Gutter repair

Tile repair

These Pictures were taken by us prior to do a repair that was done by an unlicensed contractor "so-called Roofers". A cheap price often equals ineffective work and turns out more costly because it has to be "re-repaired" again!!

| Old Bill Says: |
Shingle roof whose color is darkened by "Algae" will absorb the sun's rays which can "heat" the interior of the house and "raise" the energy costs bill!!
The solution: Install a strip of zinc along both sides of the ridges and when the water runs off of zinc; it will eventually clean the "Algae" from the roof. Try this it's free, it won't cost you money! |
