Andy Shaw landed this 7 Gill out on the bay last week.  Nice fish Andy!

Here is Efrain Sifuentes and his 54.5" Sturgeon.  He clinched the 1st place slot in the derby with this fish.  Captain Joel said that this fish wasn't 1/16th over or under.  Way to go Efrain!

Here is David Apilado and his Nice catch at the Mothball Fleet last week.  Nice picture of this 47"!!!

Here is Trevor Pridmore and his 63 incher caught on Grass shrimp out at the Pumphouse this weekend.  With this sunshine you would be crazy not to be out fishing.

About Us
We pride ourselves with having the freshest bait on the bay.  As the only bait shop on the bay with their own shrimp boat we can live up to that claim.  We are open 365 days a year at 6:30am.  Come on down and say hi to a friendly face.

Fishing Update
 APRIL'S FISHING DERBY IS ON!
BASS SIZE: 30"
STURGEON SIZE: 541/2"
Bring your fish down to Leonard's to get measured (during business hours).  In the case of a tie the first fish measured wins that place.  Derby will end on April 29th with a pig roast/BBQ.
  • San Pablo Bay:  Boats were able to make it out to the Pumphouse area this weekend due to the perfect weather conditions.  Sturgeon were reported by multiple boats and The group on "The Soleman" brought in 3 Sturgeon while they were out there.
  • Sonoma Creek:  There was a 70" caught here last week off shore and all three river systems seem to have Sturgeon moving into them.   Still a best bet for shore fishing.
  • Napa River: Best reports of Sturgeon are from this river.  Robert Lundeen (see pic below) caught 13 of em while night fishing near the towers.  Joel and Danny fished today and despite the action only brought in a lil shaker. Danny took down the Sinkay Easter jackpot of $15 with that lil 13".   The boat next to us caught a 10+ pound Bass.
  • Petaluma River: Bass bite has stayed solid.  Bullheads and pile worms have been the baits of choice.  Limits have been reported and even a few Sturgeon.
  • Be careful coming into our slough at low tide.  The mud is pretty thick and if you can just stop by before you launch.  We would hate to see you guys mess up your engine kicking up mud on the bottom of a tide.

Here is Dale "Bad Boy" Wilson with his 58" and he currently holds 2nd place fish in the derby.  He caught this in the Napa River earlier this week.

Here is our third place Sturgeon as of now.  59" caught by Robert Lundeen who was night fishing with friends near the towers on the Napa River with Grass and Ghost.  Did I mention they caught a total of 13 Sturgeon that night.  Most the action was from 10pm-3am.  Nice work guys!
