What would  you do if you had more time?
Would you spend it with friends and family, read more, cook your way through a Julia Child cookbook????????

owner/founderWe all have the same 24 hours in a day,
but some people seem to get so much more accomplished than others. What's their secret?????????.....GOOD TIME MANAGEMENT SKILLS and figuring out ways to work smarter, not harder.

Manage your time by keeping a time log. Seeing where your time goes is the key. Note how much time you need for the
basic essentials, and BE REALISTIC!

                                              sleep
                                              shower/dress/groom
                                              breakfast
                                              commute
                                              work "x" number of hours
                                              meal prep
                                              meal clean-up
                                              laundry/household
                                              email/social networking
                                              leisure

Schedule the most important task(s) you need to accomplish into your planner each day. If you take a passive wait-and-see-how- your-day-unfolds approach, chances are your day - and time - will get away from you. "If you don't know where you're going, you'll end up someplace else" - Yogi Berra

Here are a few of my favorite time-savers:

1) No time to work out? No sweat!  A week's worth of exercise in a single 20 minute workout at InForm Fitness is all it takes to get into shape. OK, I was skeptical, too, but I decided to give it a try, and I was amazed to see visible results in just a few short weeks!  This workout works! InForm's Founder and trainer extraordinaire, Adam Zickerman, wrote the book on fitness/exercise -"Power of 10".

2)  Easy Pay Xpress MetroCard - No more waiting in line to buy Metro-Cards....thanks to this "easy-pay" option. The card automatically refills itself, like EZ Pass for your car. The best part.........no more missing a train because your MetroCard is empty, and one less line to stand on in the morning. Now if only someone could figure out an Easy Pay StarBucks card.

 3) Poland Spring Water Direct - Stop lugging heavy bottles of water  home from the supermarket each week. Order water directly on-line or by phone, and they'll zip your order to you within 48 hours.

4) The Container Store's Click & PickUp Service -  The Container Store's FREE service saves you time AND $$$$$$. Shop on-line, select the items you want, then pick them up at the Container Store closest to you (They'll deliver to your car if you like). Save 15% off your entire Click & PickUp purchase.

So there you have it! Now all you have to do is figure out what to do with all that extra time you've saved!

'Til next time...........xxx's,

Nancy
