Chamber recognizes top teacher
at West Smithfield Elementary
| | Chad Jewett, Deanna Fairclough and Rick Childrey |
The Chamber has given its December Teacher of the Month Award to Deanna Fairclough, a fourth grade teacher at West Smithfield Elementary School.
According to Principal Chad Jewett, Ms. Fairclough is an outstanding teacher who meets the needs of all her students, regardless of how much time and effort that demands of her. She is the chair of West Smithfield Elementary's School Improvement Team and does a great job. She is part of an exceptional Fourth Grade team and will do whatever is needed to help the other members professionally or personally. Few teachers put as much into educating the whole child as does Ms. Fairclough.
The Chamber presents this award each month to a deserving teacher in the Smithfield-Selma area. The award is sponsored by Triangle Insurance Group and Interstate Glass, Inc.
