CWBN will host brunch on "a working women's view from the top"

CWBNThe Chamber's Women's Business Network will host a brunch called, "Footprints on the Glass Ceiling," on Tuesday November 16 from 10 am to 12 noon at the Johnston County Agricultural Center.

Each day millions of women don the tools of their trade, from hairspray to pumps, and set about the mission of making a difference in their chosen industries.  From law to banking, broadcasting, counseling, teaching, marketing, and serving as CEOs, women have set the career scene blaze, leaving footprints on the proverbial (broken) glass ceiling.
 
The CWBN will host a distinguished panel of career women who will share their ups, downs and trade secrets of working nine to five.

Nov 16 - CWBN Brunch: "Footprints on the Glass Ceiling," Johnston County Agricultural Center, 10 am to 12 noon, $25 per person.
Nov 16 - Business After Hours at Evans Jewlelers, 103 S. Third Street, Smithfield, 5-7 pm.
Nov 18 - Leadership Johnston Alumni Reunion, Ava Gardner Museum, 5-7 pm.

7th Street Marketplace and The Chicken Barn 

Denise Hill Johnson of The Chicken Barn and Louise and Larry Stancil of 7th Street Marketplace celebrate the grand opening of the new convenience store and restaurant on Market Street in downtown Smithfield.

Business After Hours November 16 at Evans Jewelers

All Chamber members are invited to Business After Hours on Tuesday November 16, 5-7 pm at Evans Jewelers in Smithfield. The informal social will give you an opportunity to network with other Chamber members. There will be refreshments and door prizes. Evans Jewelers is owned by Daniel and Vickie Evans and is located at 103 S. Third Street.

US Army All American Band selects SSS student

Tabitha Reeves of Smithfield-Selma Senior High School, Smithfield, NC, has been selected to be a member of the 2011 U.S. Army All-American Marching Band. Reeves will join an elite group of musicians who will perform during halftime at the U.S. Army All-American Bowl on Saturday, January 8, 2011, at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas...
