| LETTER FROM THE PRESIDENT | | |
Happy New Year Member Partners and Friends,
A new year always brings fresh starts and new beginnings. We have already had our first blizzard of the winter season and have survived. The chamber office staff has removed all the holiday decorations and is preparing for our next major events, Health & Wellness Expo and our Green Fest.
In this up and coming year, I hope all our chamber partners renew their memberships and we welcome new members. The Board of Directors and staff are working hard in providing services and benefits for our business community and members.
Hope to see you all at our general membership meeting January 25th being hosted by our Chamber partner-Holiday Inn Express. And please make every attempt to join us at our February 22nd general membership meeting, where we will welcome new directors being sworn in by Port Jefferson Village Mayor Margot Garant, who was just cited "Woman Of the Year" by the Port Times Record.
We look forward in 2011 to a continued cooperative synergy between all organizations here within the Village, sharing our energies in the support of our business community and health and welfare of our Village at large.

Congratulations to our celebrity pig, "Oscar" for completing his mascot role for the
15th Annual Charles Dickens Festival. There were over 400 photos taken with him
at Fezziwig's Cider Alley

building as a new added holiday decoration.

| SANTA PARADE | | |
Port Jefferson Holiday Parade
With brisk winds and large clouds in the sky, the parade went on. With over 10 vintage cars, girl scouts, boy scouts marching, Port Jefferson Ferry "afloat" and enough free candy for all, our parade was enjoyed by hundreds of smiling faces all along Main Street. Santa and Mrs. pulled up the rear with Santa in a horse drawn carriage being pulled by Jimmy Miller of Miller Marine's Pinto "Oreo". At the Chamber Santa was sitting ready for all the children to hear their holiday wishes and our professional photographer business member Drew Anthony to take their photos. The event finished with the lighting of our tree and the outside of the Chamber building.

Lantern Lighthouse Tour
After a year off, the tour was brought back in full glory and sponsored by the Chamber this year. Chamber Chair, Maryanne Douglas and her committee had great success showcasing five homes and three public buildings. Despite very cold temperatures over 350 participants walked the tour. Many thanks to all those owners and friends who opened their homes and buildings to continue this fine traditional. With also a special thanks to Danfords for donating the use of one of their conference rooms for the hospitality center.

| OFFICE UPDATES | |
The Chamber is pleased to announce that we are now able to accept major credit cards for our members' convenience. You may now pay for your membership renewal with your credit card by calling the office and giving your information over the phone where the transaction can then be securely processed. This service is also available for any other business with the Chamber, i.e., ticket purchases, booth reservations for our special events or even sponsorship monies. In addition, the Chamber hopes to offer in the future the convenience of paying for any items right from our website, with a direct link to our payment program. |

Health & Wellness Expo April 16th
Mark your calendar early for our 2011 Health and Wellness Expo to take place Saturday, April 16th from 11:00-4:00 at the Port Jefferson Village Center. We want to encourage all Greater Port Jefferson Chamber of Commerce members in Health & Wellness fields to participate by renting a booth to showcase their services and products to the public. The cost of a booth is $225.00. All members are eligible for an early-bird rate of $175.00 if they make their reservation by February 1, 2011. If you are not a member of the Chamber and want to take advantage of the early reservation rate of $175.00, you may if you become a Chamber member. In addition, you will also receive $50.00 off your annual membership fee. At Health & Wellness Expo 2011, we plan to offer a number of special programs, seminars and screenings to attendees.
Green Fest 2011 June
Green Fest 2011 is scheduled for June. It will also be held at the Port Jefferson Village Center and including the Harborfront Promenade. More details to follow. Interested vendors please contact the chamber at 631-473-1414 or info@portjeffchamber.com.
