It's a stormy Labor Day weekend - we hope all are prepared and safe.

Last week we introduced the new electronic Smoke Signals, our bi-weekly newsletter loaded with in-depth information about the Istrouma Area Council. This week we are pleased to share Scouting 411 - a "quick read" on timely information that will be sent only as needed to provide updates and reminders. It's only a few, brief notes and BAM - you are informed!

Membership update - in August we recruited more than 700 new members into the Scouting program - AWESOME! We have room for more Scouts and adult volunteers!

Remember - beginning the first Tuesday in September, and continuing the first Tuesday of each month, we will have "Coffee with the Scout Executive." Our first "Coffee with the Scout Executive" will be at Avondale Scout Reservation on September 6 - on the front porch of the dining hall, from 6:30 am - 7:30 am.

The goal is to have these once-monthly gatherings rotating them around all of our districts. October 4th we will meet in the Chappapeela District and November 1st in the Bogue Tuchenna District.

Product Sale Time is HERE!

Popcorn and LSU/Saints Team Sales

A big " THANK YOU" to all who came out to the Council Product Sales Kick-offs held last weekend! They both were very successful. Make all your Unit Kick-offs successful by making them FUN and EXCITING for the boys! Remember a little competition with rewards can be a great motivator!

Get on board and support our home town teams by selling Saints and LSU items! With the winning seasons ahead, let's step up the sales and offer our support with a GREAT sale!
