Nutrition Program Volunteers Needed

JDRF Volunteer Claudine Lovitt is in the planning stages of creating an after-school nutrition program.  With childhood obesity now on the national agenda, this nutrition program is designed to raise public awareness of the need to cure type 1 diabetes, and at the same time, will allow type 1 diabetics and their families to take the lead in promoting and teaching healthy lifestyle habits to the larger population.  This nutrition program will involve fun hands-on cooking activities, and will provide incentives to kids and their schools to meet nutritional guidelines.   If interested in becoming involved, please contact Claudine Lovitt at claudine@charlottejuniortennis.com.
