Ministry Quicklinks
 From Kyle Brown,
 Council President

I previously made an appeal to everyone, asking that you keep your pledges and giving current.  This time I'm about to ask for something that may be easier or harder, depending on the person:  giving your time and talents to support our church.
In last month's "Herald," there was a table of duties that have been assumed by members of the congregation during our period of pastoral vacancy.  Our new pastor may assume some of these or introduce new ministries, but he won't likely take on everything previously done by both Mark and Nadine.
When I grew up in the Methodist church, our confirmation asked us to commit our "time, talent and money"  to support the church.  I don't know if that's stated explicitly in the Lutheran confirmation (I don't think so),
but I've always considered that a good expression of what it takes to be a contributing member of any congregation.
So if you have interests or gifts that can help advance the mission and ministries of Christ the King, consider volunteering.  You'll find it a very rewarding.  If someone asks for your help, please give such a request prayerful consideration and try to find a way to say "Yes!"  There's a list on the Transition Team bulletin board in the CTK Café of areas where you can participate.  Even for the duties that are filled, most of the current volunteers would be delighted to have your help!

In the next few weeks, Thrivent members will receive information - via the US Postal Service -  regarding a new and more convenient way to direct charitable funds.
CTK has registered as a charity in Thrivent's online catalog; with the push of a key, members will be able to transfer charitable funds directly to CTK.  Watch for additional updates in the bulletin.
