True Voices Live
True Colors' Summer Queer Academy has been working hard to put together True Voices Live!, True Colors' first youth-produced television show.
After meeting with professional writers, producers, and directors, our Queer Academy participants drew on all of their talents to put together the show. Queer Academy met Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays throughout the summer to hone their fi lm-making skills and produce an awesome, youth-centered show.
Our youth had a hand in everything from writing, set design, make-up, camera work, and even hosting True Voices Live!
The pilot episode will include True Colors mentees and alumni discussing male grooming, celebrity and entertainment news, and being out as LGBT and as allies in high school and will air this month on Hartford Public Access Channel 5.
Didn't get a chance to participate? Not a problem! True Colors will be producing another episode for Fall 2011 and are actively seeking youth and adults interested in participating. If interested, contact
