What the Program Is
True Colors is sponsoring a 'help a youth get set up for school' initiative similar to the holiday program where folks buy specific items for specific youth.
Individuals, groups, organizations or communities of faith can 'adopt' a youth from their area and get the stuff that youth needs to move into his/her own first apartment or dorm room.
Or if you prefer, you can make a cash or gift card donation that we will pass along to a youth on our list. Either way, the youth gets what s/he needs to get their independence off to the right start. |

How YOU Can Help: Adopt a Youth OR Make a Donation
- Gather a group of like minded folks (like your congregation or co-workers)
- Call or email us and we will send you information about the youth along with a copy of the list of things they need. You can buy them new, or solicit lightly used items from your team
- Once you have gathered all the stuff on the list, you can call us. We will get you connected with the youth's social worker so together you can arrange delivery of the stuff
- If you send us an itemized list with estimated or exact values, True Colors will provide you with a thank you letter, making your donation tax deductible
- Kids get the 'stuff' they need to live successfully on their own
