Good Afternoon!
We had a great HUNT Team meeting on Sunday after service. Many thanks to all who have signed up for the HUNT teams!

This Sunday, Palm Sunday, we will meet up after service at 1pm at the New Life office for the Egg Stuffing Party. Even if you have not yet signed up to help with this, we'd love to have you join us! It is a fun, frantic afternoon of stuffing, taping and re-boxing 6,000 eggs as quickly as possible.

In addition to the HUNT, there are some very exciting things happening at New Life. The Prayer and Evangelism Team is looking for some help with their Outreach Ministry (see Message from Pastor Adam, below), we will be gathering with The Bridge for a combined Good Friday Service on April 2nd, The Springs Retreat is coming up in April, we are beginning to plan for the Summer holiday Sundays, and this coming Sunday we will be announcing an amazing event that our FROST Women's Group is preparing to support New Day for Children (http://www.newdayforchildren.com/).

A Message from Pastor Adam

Greetings!  For 4 weeks straight, we have been in the 80's in worship attendance!  That is one sign we are growing, and that you all are being very intentional about inviting your friends and loved ones to church.  Keep it up!  I am going to continue to challenge all of us to be looking for opportunities in inviting others to church.  Ask God to give you one person a week who would be interested in visiting our church.

I am also very proud of New Life for the attendance at the Hunt meeting last Sunday.  That tells me we are very serious in making the most of the Hunt this year in reaching our community with the love of Jesus.  If you were unable to make it to the meeting, not to worry!  I will be revisiting the principles discussed before the Hunt begins.  So come early to receive encouragement on how to start conversations and build relationships with those in the community that come.

Tuesday afternoon I had a ministry breakthrough at the Almaden Apartments, near Old Almaden Road and Malone.  I have been prayer walking the complex for several weeks now.  However, yesterday I went door to door and passed out 8 bags of groceries to those living at the apartments.  The gesture of providing food for them opened up major opportunities of ministry in at least 5 of the homes I visited.  They invited me into their homes, asked me to pray with them, heard the Good News of Jesus as it applies to them and their present circumstances, and were very interested in coming to our church.  I even had one gentleman who said it really made his day with the gift of groceries, and another lady who said God sent me to her to deliver the gifts.  After speaking with Don and Bob, we are planning on doing the same thing this Saturday.  However, I want to pass out around 30 bags of groceries if I can.  That is where you can help!  If you want to come, please email me and I will give you information on when and where.  Or you can help by donating money in buying groceries, or buy the groceries yourself and drop it by the office.  According to my last purchase of the 8 bags, each bag averaged around $10.  You can always sponsor a bag of groceries if that is convenient for you.  The grocery list includes: tooth paste, tooth brush, dish soap, bar soap, toilet paper, paper towels, ramen noodles, cans of veggies, spaghetti sauce, spaghetti noodles, packages of deserts individually wrapped, box of instant mashed potatoes, bag of rice, bag of beans.  You get the idea.  Just make sure they are non-perishable.  It is also helpful, but not necessary, that if you do buy an item, buy it for the 30 bags.  That way each bag is guaranteed to get one.  Try to have the groceries and/or money donations to the office by Friday.  Or call/email me.

Passing out groceries to those who need it is just one way to reach out in sharing the Gospel.  Regardless, if you see a need, perhaps it is Jesus in you wanting you to do something about it.

I am proud of our church!  Keep it up!

Summer Sundays in the Park
May 30, July 4, September 5

For the past couple of years, New Life has taken the Summer Holiday Sundays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day) and moved to Bramhall Park for our morning service. This has been done for a few reasons. These Sundays are generally light in attendance because many travel the holiday weekends. It gives the janitors at WGMS the long weekend. It is a nice break during the Summer to connect in a different atmosphere!

As we begin planning the Summer church schedule. We want to ask you. What do you think? Should we keep the Summer Holiday Sundays at Bramhall Park? Shoud we cancel them and stay at WGMS those weeks? Or, should we do something else? Please  take our poll to let us know what you think! However, if you want to do something else, PLEASE add a comment to the poll (the link is just below the poll) letting us know your idea.

Then, stay tuned to see what gets scheduled!
