Abel and Annie Orozco will be joining us on Sunday to share with New Life their vision for Jesus, the Recreator Covenant Church, a new church plant they will be leading here in San Jose.
New Life has also been invited to join with The Bridge Community Church for a special Good Friday service on April 2. Details are below.

Prayer and Evangelism Team
March 3
The Prayer and Evangelism Team continues this week from 7-8 pm at Pastor Kevin's home (5044 Tottenham Court, San Jose). Come take part in our weekly prayer and evangelism gathering! Children are welcome.

Drivers Needed!
Sundays at 9:30am and 11:45am
 The Sherman Oaks Transition House is full of new residents and many of them would like the opportunity to attend New Life for church each Sunday. We are putting together a team of drivers to take weekly rotations for pick up and 9:30am and drop off after service. If you can help with this service, please contact Andrea as soon as possible ( andrealee@newlifesanjose.org). We are currently putting together a schedule for March and April. Please let us know dates you would be available to help and the number of people you could transport. There is also a need for transporting car seats, so if you cannot install a car seat, let us know as well. Thank you! |
Guest Speaker - Pastor Abel Orozco
March 7
Pastor Abel Orozco, who currently serves as Community Life and Teaching Pastor at Great Exchange Covenant Church, will be joining us on Sunday, March 7. Pastor Abel is in process of developing a new church plant in San Jose through the Pacific Southwest Conference. He will be coming to New Life to share with us his vision for this new church and ministry in San Jose. Join us to learn more and to meet Abel and his family! |
Sunday Evening Spiritual Growth Group
No Meetings for 2 weeks
The Sunday Evening Spiritual Growth Group will be on hiatus for the next two Sundays, so there will be no meeting on March 7 or 14.

Good Friday Evening Service
April 2
 Please join us for a shared Good Friday Evening Service with The Bridge Community Church.
We will gather at 7pm in the Edenvale Room at Hayes Mansion in San Jose (200 Edenvale Ave. San Jose, 95136). Click here for directions.

HUNT 2010
April 3
 2010 will be New Life's fourth year hosting one of the Beautiful Day HUNT events in San Jose. We will again be at Doerr Park and are getting excited about this very fun community event!
Beginning Sunday, February 27 we will begin team sign ups forthis great event. To help you prepare, here are some key dates to keep in mind:
- February 27 - Candy Collection Begins (Remember those Costco 540 bags!)
- February 27 - Team Sign-ups begin on the Welcome Table
- March 21 - HUNT Team meeting immediately after service in the WGMS Library
- March 27 - Flyer distribution and prayer walk in the Doerr Park Neighborhood
- March 28 - Egg Stuffing Party at the New Life office
- April 3 - HUNT!
This year, Pastor Adam will be helping to place an outreach focus on our time at the park, so look for some new opportunities to learn and share more about New Life with the community.

For those who have small children, the re-opening of Happy Hollow Park and Zoo is a reason to celebrate! This gem of a zoo has been a part of San Jose for nearly 50 years has just undergone its first-ever renovation, creating an amusement park and zoo that families with children of all ages will enjoy. TBD - San Jose Giants Game
New Life night at the San Jose Giants is always a very fun (if warm!) evening. Last year we had a great time watching the Giants play the Stockton Ports. We will again be giving out 4-packs to the game at the HUNT and this will be a great opportunity to invite friends from work and your neighborhood to meet the New Life community.

Springs Retreat for Women
April 14-16
 The Springs Retreat at St. Anthony's Retreat Center in beautiful Three Rivers, California, is just a few weeks away and there is still room for you. The dates are Wednesday, April 14 (Noon) to Friday, April 16 (noon). All rooms are private rooms with private bathrooms. Bedding and towels are provided. $255 includes 2 nights and 5 meals.
