Who Am I?
My place of birth is: I'm a hometown guy, born & raised right here in Toledo, OH. My hobbies are: I try to take full advantage of all that this area has to offer. During the Mud Hen's season, you can usually find me there. I've got a great circle of friends that make everyday enjoyable. The last good book I read was: Starting to read Grow: How Ideals Power Growth and Profit at the World's Greatest Companies by Jim Stengel. My greatest accomplishment outside my profession: Becoming President of this club in its' 100th year! The reason I got into advertising/marketing: Mr. Omar Drummond. As the marketing teacher & DECA advisor that caught me in my junior year of high school, Mr. Drummond steered me away from a path that would have not led to success and helped to cultivate my talent. His guidance and knowledge, coupled with his motivation to succeed provided me the opportunity to "get it" at an early age. Biggest influences on me professionally: There are so many I admire in this business for their longevity and experience. I am equally excited about the dynamic young talent that consistently emerges from this area. Toledo has a rich history and strong future in advertising & creative innovation. My greatest unfulfilled ambition is: My dream trip to Italy is something I hope to achieve within the next few years. Beyond that, I hope to someday be part of a collective of the areas most creative minds working on a project that could benefit the city as a whole. Best thing about being an AdClub member: The people, the people, the people! The business connections and personal friendships I've made with so many of our members are irreplaceable to me. To those thinking about getting more involved, DO IT! You will be thankful you took the time and will be rewarded tenfold over time. I am:

"An idea can turn to dust or magic, depending on the talent that rubs against it." --William Bernbach It's ADDY time again! Time for all the excitement and fun of finding out who was successful at turning ideas into magic this year. This year's festivities are happening at The Pinnacle on Thursday, February 23, so don't miss your chance to be part of what is sure to be the event of the year, AdClub style. And yes, there will be a new video introduction by the one and only Michael Seay and Nick Amrhein. Don't forget we'll also be awarding the Silver Medal Award, the AAF's highest honor, to this year's most deserving recipient. And of course, all of the entries will be on view, so you can see for yourself the amazing creative work that comes from our talented and brilliant members. There are still sponsorships and tickets available so call or email Patty at the AdClub office now. Another great annual event to prepare for is AdPIN, our one-night bowling event, featuring some of our favorite things - big sandwiches and cold adult beverages. This year, we're spicing it up a little by turning off the lights for Glow Bowling. Black lights, beer, and bowling teams sound like Toledo to me. Don't forget the trophies ... 1st, 2nd, 3rd and Best Effort teams will be awarded. With the black lights on, maybe we'll see a little Day-Glo ink on some of the team uniforms. Registration for your 5 person team is $125 and includes 3 games, shoes, prizes, and the aforementioned big sandwiches. There is a cash bar. All of this will happen at Rossford Lanes, 969 Dixie Highway, just down the road from the new casino. Start getting your team together now so you don't miss the fun. If you have an idea for another kind of fun night, like an AdTINI or other networking event, just let Patty know. We are always looking for a reason to party it seems, so if you have one, we'll help you celebrate. Maybe you want to show off a new office, or maybe you want to host something to announce something new. Or, even if you just want to hang out with other people who are part of our crazy industry, call Patty at the AdClub office, and we'll work out something that will make us all happy. One of the things that would make me very happy is to welcome you to the AdClub Board of Governors. Maybe networking and getting to know some new people is not of interest to you. But if you want to promote your business, support the local advertising community, and make some new friends, join the Board. Board members attend one meeting a month and commit to working on one of our committees. It's a great way to get to know people from all aspects of our advertising community and have a lot of fun in the process. We will be looking for new Board members to replace those retiring as well as officer candidates. Contact me or Patty for more information on the AdClub Board of Governors. See you at the ADDYs! Level 2 Audioprovided by: Mark Reiter Check out this definition of the term "recording studio" from dictionary.com - recording studio - noun - studio where tapes and records are recorded. Really? Is it 1955? Doc, did the flux capacitor malfunction again? Honestly, I own and operate a state-of-the-art recording studio (Level 2 Audio in Perrysburg), but I haven't used a tape for more than 15 years, and ... records? Here's a more current definition of what I do. Level 2 Audio - I provide digital audio production and location sound recording for radio and TV commercials and video programs ... and I've been doing it since ... well ... since the days of tapes and records - 1986 to be exact. Level 2 Audio, founded in 2004, was created to serve the Toledo area advertising and production communities. Even though audio for radio and TV ads are the mainstay of the business, I always find that there are services people don't know I provide; such as voice talent casting, language translations, recording and editing music for performers, ADR/Looping (replacing voices on a video or film) or audio sweetening (beefing up music or effects to help tell a story) to name a few. I realized early that clients needed to feel confident in bringing a Fortune 500 CEO, mayor, or company marketing professionals into a comfortable, professional yet creative environment. And that's the balance I've tried to achieve at Level 2 Audio. Building solid relationships through professional customer service and fair pricing is what sets us apart from other studios. So, if you're still not certain what a recording does (Or, if you work for dictionary.com), take a look at the Level 2 website at level2audio.com. You'll find a description of what goes on behind the scenes before, during and after a professional audio project. If you have any questions, please give me a call. I'd love to chat with you about how I can help with your next production. CONTACT INFORMATION: Mark Reiter 1090 W. DoX Systems is presently seeking beta sites for our new Customer Relations/Document/Communications management software product, Acumenica. We are specifically looking to trade free software and support in exchange for feedback and referrals to other organizations.
Acumenica is a tool for centralizing your company's information about your clients. It's designed specifically to eliminate the problems associated with mission-critical files and information about customers being squirreled away on hard drives and in email accounts throughout your organization. It provides a unified view of your clients' history with your firm, making it trivially easy for anyone in your company to come up to speed quickly on the status of any particular account. It automatically captures email messages to known customers (inbound or outbound), and puts a copy in their record. It also allows for tracking items within customer accounts according to the project they're associated with, as well as categorization (or tagging) of virtually any customer, file, or project in the system.
If your business is interested in participating in the Acumenica beta, please contact DoX Systems' CXO, Bill Horvath, directly at 419-466-9160, or at bill.horvath@doxsystems.com.
