The Risala Foundation is pleased to announce the return of Shaykh Alauddin El-Bakri to Houston this Saturday night for a special night filled with fellowship and faith in a unique program consisting of recitation of the closing chapters of the Qur'an, motivation and inspiration, raising funds for an important cause, a special Du'a and an all-night Qiyaam program - featuring Shaykh Alauddin.


Shaykh Alaa is one of the most sought after speakers in the country - he is returning to Houston by popular demand!

9:00 PM Khatam Al-Qur'an & Fundraising Program 

Join us for a night of fellowship and faith at Maryam Islamic Center hosted by Shaykh Alaa.  Be inspired and motivated and complete the recitation of the Qur'an with a special Dua, asking Allah (SWT) to accept our worship in this holy month.

 

Followed by: Retaining the Spirit of Ramadan (Qiyaam Program)

As we bid farewell to the month of Mercy, take advantage of this final weekend in Ramadan to learn about the everlasting lessons of this month and how we can maintain the drive and spirit for the remainder of the year.  This will be a night-long program in a unique format hosted by Sh Alaa.  Suhoor will be provided.

 

About the Speaker 

Shaykh Alauddin El-Bakri began his study of Islam at a young age in North Africa and continued his education in Islamic Sciences in Jordan, learning from some of the most preeminent teachers in the Muslim world.  He has served the Muslim community in the United States in numerous capacities, serving as the Imam at several Islamic Centers and establishing full-time and weekend Islamic schools.

 

Shaykh El-Bakri served as a founding board member of IMAN (Inner City Muslim Action Network) in Chicago, book editor for IQRA and an advisory board member for many Islamic organizations.  Having been trained in both Islamic sciences and secular education, Shaykh El-Bakri has the ability to appeal to a wide array of audiences.  His main focus is in helping Muslims develop a deep understanding of the self, life and faith.  He currently serves as Khateeb at Saratoga Masjid in the Bay Area and also teaches for the Taaleef Collective.
