The Ocean City Pops present ...
Joy to the World: A Symphonic and Choral Celebration
OCEAN CITY, N.J. --- The Ocean City Pops Orchestra presents "Joy to the World" a symphonic and choral celebration of the holidays, 7:30 p.m., Sat., Dec. 4 at the Hughes Performing Arts Center, 6th and Atlantic Ave.
The Orchestra will be conducted by William Scheible, the Pops Artistic Director.
Featured in the program are the Cape Shore Chorale directed by Scott J. Breiner, Soprano Colleen Daly, Baritone Dominic Inferrera and Musicologist, Richard Stanislaw, who will emcee.
Tickets are $15, available at City Hall Annex, 901 Asbury Ave., 609-525-9300, on line at www.ocnj.us/boxoffice or at the door. City parking lots at 6th and Atlantic and 5th and Boardwalk are open and free.
The program is sponsored by Norman and JoAnne Schaut.
The program will include an array of holiday classics ranging from beloved carols to the Hallelujah Chorus from The Messiah. Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer, White Christmas, a carol sing-a-long and the Polar Express are a few of the favorites scheduled.
William Scheible will mark his 25th year at the helm of the Pops Orchestra in 2011. He is a talented trumpet player and a music educator in the Philadelphia School system. Scheible performs frequently with brass ensembles throughout the area.
Dr. Richard Stansilaw is President and CEO of the Ocean City Tabernacle with a DMA in Choral Musicology from the University of Illinois with post doctoral work at Columbia University. He also holds degrees in Music from Temple University and Philadelphia Bible University.
Scott Breiner has served as an organist and choir director since he was 14 years old. At the age of 21, he became a professional chorister in New York performing with the New York Philharmonic at Carnegie Hall and the Lincoln Center.
Soprano Colleen Daly is rapidly emerging as a "dramatically powerful" (The Washington Post) singer in today's operatic arena. Recently she sang Violetta in Verdi's La Traviata with Opera Delaware.

Colleen Daly received a Bachelor of Music degree in Vocal Performance at DePaul University in Chicago, Illinois, a Master of Music degree in Opera Performance at the University of Maryland in College Park, and an Artist Diploma from the Academy of Vocal Arts in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She has participated in the Lyric Opera Studio of Weimar in Germany, the Opera Company of Philadelphia's program in Treviso, Italy, been a Festival Artist for Opera New Jersey, a Young Artist at the Oberlin in Italy Scenes Program in Urbania, and a New Horizon Fellow at the Aspen Music Festival and School. She is currently a professor of voice at St. Mary's College of Maryland.
Dominic Inferrera is an Ocean City Pops favorite adept in opera, musical theater, pop, jazz and contemporary music. He received critical

acclaim from the New York Times that declared him a "standout" for performances with the Opera Festival of New Jersey. He recently appeared as the Celebrant in Bernstein's Mass with the Cornell University Theatre.
The Cape Shore Chorale features over 60 singers from Atlantic and Cape May Counties. The Chorale has performed with the Pops, during Ocean City's First Night celebration and in many local venues. Scott J. Breiner has been director since its inception in 2005.
