Ocean City Pops Concert Update

Pops Still Hot in September

Summer is not over yet for the Ocean City Pops.  After a brief Labor Day holiday we move toward the fall with five more outstanding concerts.
Carousel
A full concert version of Rodgers and Hammerstein's Carousel starts the second season with two performances. Steven LaBrie, Cody Austin, and Jody Kidwell, who all entertained Pops' audiences earlier this season, are joined by Elissa Alvarez; Philly high school sensation, Kara Mulder, and  Billy Kametz, who starred in OCTC/Pops' productions as Huck Finn in Tom Sawyer and the Scarecrow in The Wizard of Oz.

KS BoychoirThe Keystone State Boychoir returns to the Pops with another rousing performance in A Salute to America. If you have not seen this group perform, you have to join us to appreciate why they are  "not your average boychoir."  They are joined by Philadelphia baritone Justin Gonzales.

The annual Pops crowd pleaser, A Night in Old Vienna, pays homage to the Waltz King, Johann Strauss Jr., with polkas, marches and waltzes in grand style.

On one of the last days of summer, the Pops closes its season with East Meets West featuring beautiful poetic gems and great dramatic music from China, France, Spain, Russia and the United States.  Virtuoso pianist Claire Huang-Ci returns. Plus, trumpeter Stanford Thompson plays the Arutunian concerto.
