Dear Friend of the Ocean City Pops,

Welcome to the first electronic Ocean City Pops Newsletter!  We are excited that we can now bring updated information on Pops concerts and events right to your inbox.

Look for more concert information and expanded features in future newsletters. Each newsletter will have links to upcoming shows for your convenience and will help you to stay in touch with Pops' activities.

Celebrate With Us
After the July 19 concert, join us as we meet and toast tenor Stephen Costello and soprano Ailyn Perez

Pops' audiences have watched the pair advance from students at the Academy of Vocal Arts in Philadelphia to renowned operatic soloists. The pair, who married this past fall, have won praise from music critics in Philadelphia, Dallas, and New York City.  Most recently, Stephen received the Richard Tucker Award for his growth in operatic performance and potential for an outstanding career.

The Friends of the Ocean City Pops invites you to meet informally with Stephen and Ailyn to learn more about their careers and plans for the future. Check our schedule page for more information.

Sweet Sixteen
It's Party Time
The Friends of the Ocean City Pops invites everyone to feel like they are 16 again and celebrate the 16th year of the Friends of the Ocean City Pops on Thursday, August 20, at our Annual Summer Luncheon. Our party will be held at Greate Bay Country Club in Somers Point and begins at 11:30 a.m. Valet parking is available.

Our menu features a choice of two entrees: Chicken Picatta or Penne Pasta with Crabmeat. Salad, vegetables, and a scrumptious dessert - something any 16-year-old would die for - are included. Iced Tea and coffee will be served, and a cash bar will be open.

What's a party without gifts? Door prizes, gift baskets, and a silent auction of items graciously donated by local businesses will be on display for party goers to win. Entertainment highlights the party and, at this time, remains a secret!

Tickets go on sale July 5, during intermissions. Tickets are $35 and sell out quickly.

For more information phone Marie Knight: 609-204-2060.
