During the months I was gone, distilling frankincense in the Sultanate of Oman, making ice cream in Salalah, and zipping out for occasional forays to Germany, Qatar, and Jebel Akhtar for the Omani Rose Harvest, we had plenty of shipments of magnificent oils come in from around the world, as usual. And of course, I brought back a good supply of personally distilled Omani Frankincense oil and fresh Ambergris from the beaches of........somewhere local-no one wants to tell me, unsurprisingly. : 
Vanilla Absolute! Before I say another word, let me just tell you that we have a new Bourbon Vanilla Absolute (Vanilla planifolia)! It's very lovely, smoky, mouth-watering delicious vanilla with a whiff of green vine, all the best from Madagascar. For all you chemistry mavens, the vanillin content is around 2.4%. Sweet and delicious! |

New Perfume Sprays! Stacy has been going wild on our previously small selection of single notes and house blends and we now offer Indonesian Sandalwood, Vetiver and Rum, and Lao Oudh. And stay tuned....he is doing something wiggly and wonderful with patchouli and vanilla at the moment......

New Classes! Christina's classes are proving popular these days and here is the schedule for June: June 12-Introduction to Essential oils for Detoxification. Christina will share her knowledge about which essential oils to use for all kinds of detoxification, their properties, and how to use them safely and effectively. June 19 -Introduction to Essential Oils for Natural Beauty. Christina will cover raw materials and their functions as well as essential oils and carriers and how best to use them for beauty. The above classes are both Sunday nights at 6:30 pm and last for one hour. Cost is $20 and you get $10 back to apply to any purchase of essential oils that evening! |

Blending Weekend! We would also like to announce our first blending weekend, July 9-10. Class will be 10am-11:30 am Saturday and Sunday mornings. Christina will discuss the principals of blending and attendees will each make 3 blends of their own. Cost of this class is $90 and includes materials. Since we must limit the size of this class, prepayment of the entire fee is requested to reserve your place. |
