 Hello Everyone
I swore I wouldn't do this again. I intended to stop announcing and dorking like a nut over new arrivals. I promised myself that from now on I would write calmly and succinctly upon a highlighted oil or two. But then we got this new order in from Corsica.

Ok, New Yorkers, grab your balaclavas and mittens because if there was ever a reason to voluntarily trudge out into the freezing hell of this winter, it's to smell the new oils we just got in. I promise. Here's what we got:
Rosemary Verbenon
Distilled from the flowering tops only. This is our fifth rosemary in the store, and while the others are all good, this guy is on another plane entirely. The rarest, most sought-after chemotype of rosemary, known for his usefulness as a liver tonic and for mature and dry skin. But never mind what he's for, let's talk about what he's like! The usual words: rich, ripe, robust, etc, pale before this oil. Smelling this outstanding rosemary verbenon is a complete sensory experience-he will insinuate himself into your mouth, and announce himself to your tastebuds, while tickling your nose with waves of verbenol delight. Visions of graceful rosemary vines, studded with swollen purple flowers, will dance before your eyes. He's just ridiculous, a completely insane oil.

Eucalyptus globulus
Don't think I'm crazy. If you haven't smelled this Corsican essential oil distilled only from the juvenile leaves then I am sorry to say that you are not yet initiated into how exquisite this oil can be!
With an effect similar to the rosemary, I feel like a tiny ant overwhelmed by the magnificence of these rich aromatics. Imagine a fresh, healthy, young eucalyptus leaf, and the white fuzz on the underside of it. Imagine scratching that fuzzy part lightly, and breathing in those luscious aromatic molecules. Now imagine it's 50 leaves, 100! 1000! And you can bathe in the beauty of eucalyptus, and understand the fine complexities and extremely sophisticated bouquet of this exquisite tree.

Wild Cypress Again, we take an oil that can be nice, can be delightful, and notch it up, come enjoy its scent closely and intimately, and see it fresh and new, a regal green austerity. This wonderful walk in the wild fields of Corsica will present Cypress, as you've never known it. Every bud, every sprig, every tiny little fruit of these trees named for everlasting life shine in close-up gorgeous vitality, with silver tones throughout. Cypress has a reputation for helping detoxify, as a diuretic, a tonic, a help with grief, with letting go, with transformation.......and that's fine and useful. But really this Cypress is just outstanding. |

Lemon Verbena Now sit down for this one. Finally, we scored the fresh new crop of Lemon Verbena oil! Nothing can match the soft, sweet, graceful buttery lemon of Lippia citriodora, a rare and highly prized oil that we haven't had in ages! And this one is the best of the best, of course, from our Corsican distiller. I keep thinking: heaven on a biscuit, and that's a start, because she is the one who will make you quiver, unable to believe your luck as you absorb every shimmering molecule of this awesome and completely delicious aromatic treat. |

So never mind the cold. Just come down and smell these exquisite oils, and let them amaze and delight you. We've got aromas you won't find anywhere else. Enfleurage-Aromatics from the Natural World.
