Salsa Senorita , El Nuevo Foods

Lori Sours
Mountain Brook may seem an unlikely headquarters for an authentic New Mexico salsa, but it's home to Salsa Senorita, "the legally addictive salsa", and the company's co-founder Lori Sours. Lori cultivated her love of all flavors southwestern in her home state of New Mexico. She and her brother Mark created Salsa Senorita from favorite family recipes, and they put it on the market when they realized there was not a truly authentic, all-natural southwestern salsa on store shelves. Lori shares her passion for authentic southwestern cuisine on her company's website, salsasenorita.com where she also shares some of her salsa- making sensibilities.
Salsa Senorita brand salsas are all-natural, uncompromisingly fresh and free of preservatives. The 'legally addictive salsa' is available in Hot, Medium and Roasted Garlic flavors. You may meet Lori sampling Salsa Senorita at Whole Foods, Piggly Wiggly, Western Supermarket or Oak Street market. Lori graduated from the University of New Mexico and earned her MBA at Texas State University. Lori and husband David, who is with Coca-Cola United, have a daughter Kathryn- a sixth-grader at Cherokee Bend.
Check out Lori's cooking demos on YouTube, sign up for her newsletter at www.salsasenorita.com, follow her on Twitter or "friend" her on her Facebook page, "Addicted to Chips and Salsa". http://www.facebook.com/#!/pages/Addicted-to-Chips-and-Salsa/158004516118.

MEDCREST Preventative Health Screenings - Jan 28 & 29 |
We are pleased to announce that MEDCREST will be offering preventative health screenings on January 28th and 29th at the Emmett O'Neal Library in Mountain Brook. The program offers participants
sophisticated ultrasound tests and appraisals to assess risks factors for many common diseases. The cost of the program is $139 per person. A donation will be made by MEDCREST to the Mountain Brook Chamber of Commerce for community events.
Screenings will be conducted from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. on Friday, and from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Saturday. The MEDCREST program offers: a health status appraisal to help identify lifestyle and other risk factors; a baseline screening for blood pressure, blood glucose, body fat, body mass index and ultrasound tests for carotid artery disease, peripheral artery disease and abdominal aortic aneurysm. Test results, prepared by a board-certified physician, will be sent to participants and will include a 10-year cardiovascular risk appraisal.
MEDCREST is a Mountain Brook-based company dedicated to preventative health care. These tests are usually covered by insurance only after the warning signs or symptoms occur. Unfortunately, the disease
itself may be the first evidence of these symptoms.
For more information, please contact MEDCREST at 205-870-1140 or info@medcrestusa.com.
Please visit our website at www.medcrestusa.com.
We look forward to seeing you in a healthy new year!

Sometimes you need to order online or you just can't find what you need locally. Our community can still benefit from online sales!
Shipping UPS or FedEx? Ordering online but want Mountain Brook to receive sales tax revenue benefit? Then make sure you specify Mountain Brook - not Birmingham - as your address. The Post Office for Mountain Brook zip codes is listed as Crestline Heights and refers to the post office on Montclair Road. This assures that Mountain Brook will receive the appropriate percentage of sales tax revenue. THANKS!
