Mountain Brook Elementary's 80th Anniversary Celebration MAY 20TH!
Mountain Brook Elementary celebrates its 80th year! All graduates are invited to a special event to celebrate MBE's birthday.

In 1979, the school celebrated its 50th year with a reunion celebration that involved the entire school!  Improvements and additions have continued over the years as enrollment at MBE has steadily climbed.  The last construction project in 2006 included eight new classrooms, a special education suite and a renovated auditorium.  MBE currently has enrollment of more than 582 students in grades kindergarten through sixth.

MBE would like to invite all graduates of the school
to come for an open house
on Thursday, May 20th from 3:15 until 4:15 to celebrate its 80th year.

MBE Students

Join fellow alumni to tour the school and note how much we have grown as well as how much we have stayed the same through the years.  Escorts will be available to guide graduates on a tour and refreshments will be provided.  Parking around the school will be available.  If you would like to follow this celebration by attending the Legends event, we encourage you to remain parked at the school, and walk to Mountain Brook Village, as streets in the village will be closed from noon to 9PM.  Please refer to the chamber website for detailed maps.

For more information or to RSVP for the event, please contact Michelle Latimer at 870-3976 or michellelatimer@mac.com.

Sometimes you need to order online or you just can't find what you need locally.  Our community can still benefit from online sales!

Shipping UPS or FedEx?  Ordering online but want Mountain Brook to receive sales tax revenue benefit? Then make sure you specify Mountain Brook - not Birmingham - as your address.  The Post Office for Mountain Brook zip codes is listed as Crestline Heights and refers to the post office on Montclair Road.  This assures that Mountain Brook will receive the appropriate percentage of sales tax revenue.  THANKS!
