Welcome new member, Salsa Senorita
Salsa SenoritaSalsa Senorita is owned by Lori Sours and her brother, Mark who grew up in Las Cruces, New Mexico and Mark started making salsa when he was in high school over 30 years ago!  He is the creator of Salsa Senorita.  A college basketball coach for several years, he test marketed his salsa from coast to coast.  When Mark talked about getting the salsa in a jar, Lori joined him from Atlanta, and they got started almost three years ago.

The salsa is available in medium, hot and garlic.  They believe true salsa eaters typically don't buy mild. Although, our medium is not very hot.  You can buy Salsa Senorita at Oak Street Garden Shop in Crestline Village and Western Supermarket in Mountain Brook Village.

"Salsa Senorita is an all natural product, using only the freshest ingredients and no preservatives.  We believe it is a reflection of a true Southwestern salsa. One bite and you will be coming back for more, that is why Salsa Senorita is known as the 'Legally Addictive Salsa'."

Welcome New Member - ServisFirst Bank's Robert Pless
Robert Pless
Meet Robert Pless, Director of Wealth Management at ServisFirst Bank, his wife, Gail, and three children:  Robert, Jr. (freshman at Wharton School of Business in Philadelphia), Cece (junior at Altamont), and Lucy (age 11, a fifth grader at Creative Montessori).

"I've been at the bank 2 1/2 years but in banking my entire career.  I like the approach at ServisFirst - a good, old-fashioned, small bank which gathers deposits, and makes loans.  I also like the common sense approach this bank takes to everything. I like being a part of a small company where you can see your efforts and everybody else's efforts pay off on a daily basis.  And I like to make decisions and help people immediately.  When I'm not banking, my favorite thing to do is to be with my family outside, whether it be hunting, fishing, hiking, running or gardening."

The new ServisFirst Bank corporate office is on the corner of Cahaba Road and Shades Creek Parkway.  If you'd like to talk to Robert, email him by clicking HERE or his direct phone line is:  205 949-3445
Merchants, are you Twittering about your events?
Twitter Bird
The Chamber wants to create a network of chamber members and Mountain Brook merchants who are twittering about local events.  We have posted an online tutorial to get you started on the bottom of our blog.  We have also posted a list of merchants and chamber members who are already on Twitter.  Add them to your list as friends!  Find out what your fellow merchants and members are doing!  Not convinced?  READ THIS ARTICLE!

Are you on Twitter but not on this list?  Send us a tweet to @shopmtnbrook and we'll add you!  Or add this hashtage #mtnbrk with any tweet and we can find you that way as well.

Chamber members, we will continue to update our chamber list and provide additional benefits to our chamber members only. Please drop by and pick up the new "Welcome to Mountain Brook - Guidebook".  Welcome mats are still available for $45 and are a great way to advertise your support of your community as well as extend a hearty welcome to all your customers. Please email the chamber for details.

We now have a member log-in on the membership directory and will be adding benefits and additional information here.  You will receive your log-in information this week.
