We hope it will draw lots of new visitors to our unique community! It's a good time to join the Chamber - lots of new benefits that we'll be adding. Market Day was a huge success and our merchants reported more sales than in any previous year, in some cases ten times the volume! The event is growing in popularity and gets better every year. Look for pictures. press, and more information posted on our blog and website, and participating merchants, please respond to this survey with your comments and feedback so we can make it even better next year!Dawg Daze is just around the corner on August 22nd. Come help celebrate the end of summer by dressing your dog and joining our parade in Crestline. The best costumed dogs will be crowned king and queen by our event sponsors and this year will be our first ever Crestline FLEA MARKET! It's a great family friendly event that will begin with a huge outdoor movie sponsored by Snoozy's Kids on the evening before the parade and flea market. More info below and on our website.

Dedication of New Historic Marker

The dedication of our newest historical marker will be on the Bearden property on Montevallo Road. Stay tuned for more information. Linda Nelson, Historical Consultant, will be providing property owners in the older villages with a Q&A regarding historical districts, and is preparing a survey of property owners to determine if they believe that historic districts are a viable economic and marketing option for our villages. Do you have an opinion? Do you want more information? Please Contact Linda Nelson. Do you think it's a good idea? Would you like to be involved in a committee regarding this issue? As of May 7, 2009, all of the Mountain Brook City Schools have voted to reorganize the PTA as 6 Parent Teacher Organizations (PTO) for the benefit of our children.
It is the recommendation of the Mountain Brook PTA Council that all six local PTA's in the Mountain Brook City School system be dissolved. All PTA members for each individual school are invited to attend meetings to discuss the advisability of dissolution, to enter into the discussion, and to cast their vote. The meeting dates, times and locations are as follows:

Save the Date for the Village to Village Run - 12/12/09

Mark your calendar for the popular Village to Village Run, this year with an all-new route, meandering through some of Mountain Brook's most beautiful neighborhoods.
