3 Simple Steps to Fitness Success~PowerFlow

 

 

Achieving fitness success is well within reach for everyone. I've found the most common problem when it comes to achieving fitness success, is planning. Most of us don't take the time to outline a fitness plan for the week and then, low and behold, fitness becomes last on the priority list. The bottom line is, there isn't a magic solution when it comes to fitness. No pill or revolutionary machine is going to come along and get you fit overnight. So if you've looked in the mirror recently and found an out of shape image staring back at you, maybe it's time to take a good look at how you got there. Chances are you got there one mindless step at a time. If that's the case, there is only one way out, one MINDFUL step at a time. When it comes to fitness, planning is critical. Use these 3 easy steps to build a roadmap to fitness;

 

1) Outline your fitness goals. Are you looking to lose weight, tone up, increase flexibility or endurance, or do you need a source of stress relief in your life? Be very clear and specific when you are outlining your goals. Remember, if you don't know where you are going, any map will do.  

 

2) Decide exactly what you're going to do, what time of day you're going to do it, and where you're going to do it. Think about what types of fitness you enjoy and the time of day you are most energetic. Research fitness facilities in your area until you find what you're looking for.

 

3) Commit to your goals. Either write your fitness plan down in a calendar, schedule it into your smart phone, or sign up for your classes ahead of time. Commitment is KEY! Remember, your character is defined by your habits so if you make a commitment to something, do your absolute best to follow through with it. The result will be complete empowerment!  

 

Lastly, Don't beat yourself up if you've let your fitness plan slide lately. Each day offers a new opportunity to start fresh. Margaret Thatcher was once quoted "It takes many small battles to win a war". Success takes determination and "stick-to-it-ness" so stick with it!!
