Bloom Welcomes Daneil Fisher & Ed Mikelis!
Please join me in welcoming our newest teachers! Daneil will be teaching Bloom Sculpt on Thursdays at 7pm. Ed will be leading our newest class; Bloom PowerFlow Tuesdays at 6:30pm.

Daneil Fisher~
Daneil studied the Physics of Movement and Gross Anatomy at Quinnipiac University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Marketing Communications with a minor in Health Sciences in 2001. Dr iven by her passion for physical fitness, Daneil thrives in sharing her expertise and coaching abilities with her students. An avid spinner, Daneil has been teaching Indoor Cycling with a Mad Dogg Athletic's Johnny Certification since 2006. Daneil is also PIYO Strength certified. She encourages others to reach their fitness goals through personal training, Group X weight training classes, running workshops, spinning classes, and circuit training. Daneil understands the meaning of a hard workout; in October 2010 she ran the Hartford Marathon and continues to take on new challenges each year. Daneil believes total wellness, achieved through physical and mental wellness, is the key to fulfillment. With her "lead by example" philosophy, Daneil motivates and encourages safe strength training and inspirational practice of spiritual balance. Challenge yourself and reach your goals with Daneil!
Ed Mikelis~
"Tak e your awareness to a new level and view life with softer eyes." Inspired by yoga and the outdoors, Ed's teaching style cultivates an arena of reflection and balance. Ed has embraced yoga's transformative practice for over twelve years, and through his challenging, fun, and flowing classes shares yoga's wisdom with his students. Ed is currently enrolled in Rolf Gates 200 Hour Vinyasa Teacher Training, and has studied under great teachers including Sadie Nardini, Desiree Rumbaugh, Bryan Kest, and Seane Corn. Join Ed to bring your yoga practice to new levels of awareness, clarity, relaxation, and contentment.

For students who are ready to take the next step in their practice, Bloom PowerFlow will exhilarate the body and mind through a Vinyasa style sequence. Emphasis will be on movement, balance, and breath awareness. Our PowerFlow class offers a faster pace along with a more challenging posture series, bringing students to a more advanced level. Some knowledge of posture alignment is recommended.

Target and challenge the abdominals, back, and hips in this intense and dynamic workout. You will learn how to effectively strengthen the core using proper form and technique. By building core strength, you will be able to improve your posture and ward off low back pain. Each class begins and ends with a focusing meditation.

Begin your week being inspired by the teachings of today's foremost spiritual leader, Paramhansa Yogananda, through Bloom Wisdom, a workshop series to focus and enlighten the body and soul, while uncovering the beauty of four of Yogananda's greatest texts. Workshops will meet on select Sundays from 3-5pm for invigorating lectures and conversation enabling you to explore the full potential and power of your highest self. Take your yoga practice off the mat and transcend the principals and wisdom of yoga into everyday life through these enlightening workshops. Reading of the text is not required:
March 25th - How to Succeed~
Discover, foster, and balance success and happiness by exploring Yogananda's text as they apply to you and your life. Learn to achieve the highest success of material and spiritual efficiency by simply being yourself and focusing your strength and energy. This workshop will unravel the complex teachings of Yogananda and help you to uncover and map the highest potential of your future.
April 29th - How to Have Courage, Calmness, and Confidence~
Transform from negativity and feelings of depression into the strong and beautiful person deep within your soul. Participants will discover the power of confidence to overcome the fears of failure and learn ways to dissolve worry and cultivate serenity and peace. Self motivation and attitude adjustments can be easy and successful - learn the tools here.
May 20th - How to Achieve Glowing Health and Vitality~
Rejuvenate and thrive into a life full of health, balance and radiance. This workshop teaches the principals of overall physical health and well-being, the attainment of mental clarity, along with guidance to discover the ease and simplicity of living a grounded spiritual life. Participants learn invaluable energization exercises for rejuvenating the body and mind, the art of conscious relaxation, and nourishment tips for optimal health and beauty.
