Community Yoga with Kevin Barnard
Sunday February 12th
10:00-11:15am
FREE class with donations taken at the door to benefit Kevin's charity of choice~
The American Red Cross.

Please join us this Sunday from 10-11:15am for an All Levels Yoga class. This is a donation based class. All proceeds will benefit The American Red Cross~

Since its founding in 1881 by visionary leader Clara Barton, the American Red Cross
has been the nation's premier emergency response organization. As part of a worldwide movement that offers neutral humanitarian care to the victims of war, the American Red Cross distinguishes itself by also aiding victims of devastating natural disasters. Over the years, the organization has expanded its services, always with the aim of preventing and relieving suffering. Today, in addition to domestic disaster relief, the American Red Cross offers compassionate services in five other areas: community services that help the needy; support and comfort for military members and their families; the collection, processing and distribution of lifesaving blood and blood products; educational programs that promote health and safety; and international relief and development programs.

Please help us make a difference. Give generously.

Yin Yoga Workshop with Kevin Barnard
Yin Yoga Pose
Saturday February 25th
1:00-3:30pm
$30 if booked on or before 2/18/12
$35 if booked after 2/18/12

Join Kevin Barnard as he leads a deep exploration of the Yin Yoga practice! This workshop will begin with a short, interactive discussion around the foundations and principles of yin yoga. From there we will move into a fun, yet challenging sequence of yin yoga postures designed to calm, open and release some of our most deeply held and difficult to access parts of our physical, emotional and spiritual bodies. Yin Yoga has the same goals and objectives as any other school of yoga; however, it directs the stimulation normally created in the asana portion of the practice deeper than the superficial or muscular tissues (which we are calling the yang tissues). Yin Yoga targets the connective tissues, such as the ligaments, bones, and even the joints of the body that normally are not exercised very much in a more active style of asana practice. Suitable for almost all levels of students, Yin Yoga is a perfect complement to the dynamic and muscular (yang) styles of yoga that emphasize internal heat, and the lengthening and contracting of our muscles. Yin Yoga generally targets the connective tissues of the hips, pelvis, and lower spine. You need to experience this to really know what Yin Yoga is all about!! $30 if booked on or before 2/18/12. $35 if booked after 2/18/12. 24 hour cancellation policy required.

Yoga ROCKS Workshop with Yoga Rocks
Kevin Barnard and
Kara Simard
Saturday March 10th
1:00-3:30pm
$25 if booked on or before 3/1/12
$30 if booked after 3/1/12

Join Kara and Kevin for a Yoga ROCKS Workshop!!! This class will incorporate strong music and a strong practice. Let the music move YOU!!! We have found that mixing a challenging, hot vinyasa practice with high-energy, fun and lively music enables students to "let go" more readily, work more easily in their practice (vs working harder), stretch more deeply and wring out their body and mind... all while having a good time and not quite even realizing they were "working" at all. Our workshop will be an evolution over the course of 2.5 hours -- a smooth, relaxing opening followed by a slow ramp-up to a more challenging vinyasa flow sequence, and easing down into a long, supported savasana. This is an ALL LEVELS workshop and we encourage you to join us no matter what your level of experience, body type or flexibility. It will be, ultimately, YOUR experience and we are here to support you in it!! Fee~$25 if booked on or before 3/01/12 or $30 if booked after 3/01/12
. 24 hour cancellation policy required.
