Children's Fitness tax credits

Children's Fitness Tax Credit Receipts

Don't forget you get a tax credit for all this fun, active stuff! The gym will issue the official 'Children's Fitness Tax Credit Receipts' during the last class of the term. Families who are not currently registered can pick up their receipts in the office after Jan 15th or we can forward it to you by email upon request.

H1n1 policy

H1N1 Policy

Health Officials are warning that we might see a third peak in H1N1 during January/February so we wanted to take this opportunity to review our H1N1 policy with you.

We are committed to keeping our gym as clean and safe as possible. Although we cannot guarantee that children won't get sick, we can all work together to reduce the spread of the flu and other illnesses.
In addition to our usual thorough daily cleaning we will be:
  • Cleaning high touch surfaces (door knobs, taps, counters, lounge toys, etc) twice daily with a diluted bleach solution.
  • Cleaning all 'mouthed' toys and equipment as necessary.
  • Sterilizing all cups and mugs in the dishwasher daily.
  • Providing Kleenex and hand sanitizer at the front desk for client usage.
  • Washing staff hands in between every class with soap and water (and as necessary!)
  • Wiping ALL mats, balls and gymnastics equipment with a diluted bleach solution every 10 weeks.
  • Providing free make-up classes for students who miss a class due to illness.
What we are asking you to do:
  • Teach children to wash their hands frequently and/or use a hand sanitizer.
  • Encourage sneezing and coughing into their elbow, or into disposable tissues and washing hands afterwards.
  • Keep children at home if they are ill!

Makeup classes

Make-Up Classes Policy

Jump! offers one free make-up class per child, per session. Make-up classes must be used within the same session and are based on class availability. Parents must contact the office to schedule a make-up class.

While this is our official policy we are often able to be more flexible when space allows. Certainly where children are ill it is very important to us that you feel comfortable keeping them at home without worrying about missed classes. When classes are missed due to illness we will do our utmost to accommodate you.

However, since low class ratios are an integral part of our program there are a limited number of make-up classes available. In fairness to all Jump! families please  keep our official policy in mind.

You can help us ensure that there are more spaces available for make up classes by letting us know if your child will miss a class when you know in advance.

Olympic closuresitions

Olympic Break

Some of you may have already noticed there's a gap in between term 2 and 3 this year. Since Beatty Street will be right in the thick of things during the Olympics we knew it might be a little difficult for kids to get to their classes. That is why we decided to take an Olympic Break from Feb. 7th to March 2nd. The gym will be closed with no classes or drop-in during that time. Classes will resume for Term 3 on March 3rd.

About Jump! Gymnastics

Jump! Gymnastics' carefully designed curriculum is intended to give children the tools they need to be successfully active for their whole lives, regardless of what sports interest them as they grow.

We offer children from six months to eight years old the opportunity to explore movement through activities that enhance balance, strength, flexibility, coordination and agility. We are an evolution in sport.
