We Thank Our Teachers During Teacher Appreciation Week!
This week is Teacher Appreciation Week. We appreciate our teachers and staff tremendously and have honored them throughout the week with special privileges and fun events.
You might have seen the "Apple Cards" on your teacher's door. These apples are provided by the PTO who has sold (and will continue to sell) them through the week! This is an easy way to say "Thank You" to your teachers and staff members.
Mrs. Pat Fitzgerald provided Avon Satin Hand Treatments for teachers and staff on Monday, too.
The Student Government will host a free car wash for all the teachers this week and they coordinated the vases full of fresh flowers for faculty!
The St. Anastasia Administration is showing the teachers they appreciate them too! On Monday, Dr. Hoeffner and Mrs. Richmond provided Ice Cream Sundaes. On Tuesday, they provided "Room Service" featuring drinks, fresh fruit and pastries. Wednesday is "Souper" with free soup provided by Pineapple Joe's. Thursday is "Thank Goodness It's Today" when the teachers will enjoy chocolate and other fun treats in the workroom. There will be a special treat from Administration on Friday for the teachers and they will also enjoy a lovely lunch provided by the PTO.
Kindergarten teacher, Mrs. Christopher, is surrounded by some of her "appreciative" students as she shows off some of the flowers she received this week.

Red Cross Babysitting Class Information
| |
One of our St. A's parents, Mrs. Jen Richmond, recently spoke with a representative at the Red Cross regarding a program called "Babysitting Boot Camp." It is a 2-day class from 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m. held at their facility. The class is offered for young people 11-15 (boys are welcome, also). On the first day they go over basic childcare (feeding, bathing, changing, diapers, etc), how to be a responsible sitter, safety and such topics. On the second day, they go through the infant/child CPR program and receive their certificates at the end of the day. Lunch is provided. The cost is $130 for the 2 days.
If any parent is interested in having their child attend this training, the next session is being held either in Port St. Lucie or Vero Beach on June 28 & 29. They need a minimum of 6 attendees to go forward with a class. However, if there are at least 8 attendees, Red Cross can send a trainer to a location of our choice (on campus or other).
If anyone is interested in attending this class at a location of our choice, please contact Mrs. Jen Richmond at (772) 473-1155 or jenmr729@bellsouth.net.
